Chuck just said “this series is a wrap”

“The MVP is getting outplayed and don’t have an advantage anywhere.”

Can’t disagree one bit

Denver cleary needs LeBron
Murray/Jokic should be on the phone asap like Draymond and beg him to join them next season

Just looked up why you mentioned him. Yeah career high this past season at 41% is super impressive.

Typically if your shooting percentage is your age you are in trouble. Crazy that LeBron can make it work.

This is a historically great defense they have, just completely smothering and can defend so many different styles.

He needs that magic water that Treebeard gave to Merry and Pippen.

Funny enough, in the books that juice makes them yoked tf out and they are even 2-3 inches taller then when Sam/Frodo last saw them.

Treebeard has that Miami hookup.

That's what I'm talkin bout! They need to grow!

And now it's past midnight and all they hear are wolves howling in the dark.

Car battery died and they can't roll up their windows

Better hope Jokic is driving. He's more likely to have one of those older cars with hand crank windows.

I think the emergence of Anthony Edwards is a huge part of it that makes the whole thing work.

Defending Champs losing is always an upset. They hold the belt. It is like that in every sport.

I'm not talking about the Lakers. The guy mentioned the Heat being upset by the Mavs like that team won multiple championships already at that time. Dallas was clearly the better team when they faced off.

The majority of the time the team with the best player wins the series, Heat 3 of the 4 best players in that series including the best player. Lebron scored 8 points in one game. Mavs played some hellacious defense though. It's easy to say the winner was the better team always after they win the series, I don't know. Mavs had more depth, Heat had more stars.

The books said Heat were favored.

He's absolutely right. They don't appear to have an advantage anywhere on the court.

Honestly, I do not care if the Nuggets get swept. My hope would be that a sweep results in a deep introspective look into the roster and coaching.

There's a structural deficiency here. It showed itself in the regular season, and became more apparent during the playoffs. I think as Nuggets we ignored the signs and pretended this team would get it together, it never did.

Hopefully the GM gets fired. Trash ass mofo ruined this team by his stupid ass comments of depending on kids Watson and Braun. They’ve always been deficient in the bench year after year. Brown was truly the only shining spot.

I always said true dynasties continue to rotated good to great role players year after year. Look at the Spurs from Steve Kerr to Robert Horry to Stephen Jackson or the Warriors with David West.

This is how you create a dynasty. NOBODY depends on some first or second year kids to carry a load for championships for years.

This type of thing usually happens to the old champion that has made a couple runs and are now setting out to pasture, but for it to happen to a fairly young team that was good all season is crazy. There were no hints or signs that this could be coming.

There absolutely were hints of this. That Lakers series was just the latest example. The loss to the Spurs in the 81st regular season game was another. The choke at home against OKC where Shai and JDub stole the game. The Nuggets also don't really blow anyone out. They can't even rely on getting to the free throw line to get points while they don't play well since they don't play like that. I made a thread in December saying how concerned I was about them and their body language and I was told to chill. There were signs, but a lot of people just assumed Jokic's greatness would be enough. Well, if the Wolves are going to keep attacking the basket like this and I see no reason why they wouldn't, it won't matter how good Jokic is.

That trade was Minny doubling down on Edwards being ready at 22. On paper they looked insane. Like straight up pants on head stupid.

But now? Seeing who he is and his leadership? Totally makes sense. Buy all the Ant stock you can. This is the guy.

I think it's obvious they know they aren't the best team this year. Every other one of the real contenders got better and Denver got worse.

The craziest part is it's not even like the bench is doing all the heavy lifting while the starters get beat which would have been my guess pre series. The Wolves starters have straight up been outplaying that vaunted "best starting 5 in basketball" lineup for Denver.

Jokic needs to bring out the dog in him the next game. Don’t matter how many times you get blocked, he needs to bully these guys inside. 13 shots when Murray is totally off is unacceptable.
