Re: NBA Playoffs Thread
Is it still cool that Jokic has a nihilistic approach towards being in the NBA?

Interesting that in mid-season such a drastic 'change' is made in the way refs will call games. It's almost as if it gives them even more leeway to 'miss' calls here and there, but that would be far too cynical, right?
If Turner's screen was illegal, then there should be 20-25 illegal screens called in every single NBA game. To make that call in that situation is way beyond questionable. And not overturning Nesmith's 'kick', even after reviewing it? They essentially took two possessions away from the Pacers in the last couple of minutes in a tight playoff game. Hard to win that way.
Those calls on screens are how the refs take away 3s to make the game close

NBA also pushing hard to make Ant Man to be face of the franchise

I don’t think the NBA is doing anything, Ant is just taking the #1 spot by force.

I'd love to see a breakdown of the questionable calls that went the Knicks' way in these two series so far. It feels disproportionate. the league is losing credibility (not just because of the Knicks, but because of officiating in general).

Jamal Murray throwing two things at refs from the bench in one game is really a level of stupid I can’t wrap my head around.

I remember the draft where Edwards came out everyone said it was a terrible draft and there was no consensus #1 and some people picked Minny to take someone else other than Edwards. Boy, he sure destroyed those narratives didn't he. He was like the only good player taken in the top 10. Sixers probably got the 2nd best player in that draft at 21. The one thing the Sixers did that actually went right in the last 8 years.

I was dead wrong about Antman. He was chucking up 3s on a miserable Georgia team. Mediocre advanced stats. Couldn't understand why he went first overall.

Man Gobert is never beating the allegations that he's extremely replaceable. Misses a critical game 2 and they wax the **** out of the defending champions on the road, lol.

My prediction..
WCF
Luka vs Ant = Bird vs MJ
Finals
Wolves vs Celtics = MJ vs Celtics

Whenever you pay LA, NY, and Boston you are going to be playing 6 on 5. It sucks, but it's just the way it is. It's so obvious it's honestly a conspiracy theory to say it isn't true at this point.

He didn't seem to like basketball. That's usually a bad sign. I guess he learned to like it.

Luka v. Ant is what I expect. Silver wants to grow the game globally.

IIRC, didn't Edwards during his draft process talk about how the only reason he plays basketball is because he wasn't good enough at football? Swear I remember something like that.

Agree, unless Murray isn't healthy. That whole group hinges around Jokic and Murray, they have no plan B.
