i guess the nba could come up with some kind of rule that lets you add a player in the playoffs if you have multiple guys out for the season. but who are you gonna get and are you gonna even want to play them in a playoff setting. i wouldn't think so.

As Tired as Brunson was dat boy scored 21 points in the 4th right :o ?!

And you had me rolling with your Hart comment...the boy is insane...what a blessing to have him...

100% brunson is legit and pulled off another heroic performance. but when he stepped on the line at the end of the game, thats not what he looked like vs philly :D

His head was all read, puffy eyes, the guy was EXHAUSTED. We need a blowout next game, so we can sit some guys.

That was almost certainly a Buzz production

Yes, it was. I think it even offended some Knick fans. :D

It made me laugh. Deserves a reprise.

Grant Hill seems to have kept in good shape. Maybe we could finally get him.

At the very least Deuce should play more if we’re not going to play Precious or Alec.

I know Deuce was -13 last night but those were mainly in the non-Jalen minutes. He was awesome for most of the Sixer series, and can spell Josh and Donte a bit more.

Something like this:

Jalen 43 / Deuce 5
Donte 40 / Deuce 8
Josh 44 / Deuce 4
OG 41 / Deuce 7
Isaiah 30 / Mitch 18

Lol at Deuce backing up 4 positions.

I feel really good about this win! I'm a big believer in history and history says the team that wins the first game between these 2 teams goes on to win the series 100% of the time! That rings true especially for us as I cannot remember the last time, if ever, we went on to win a playoff series after losing game 1 at home!

Is Brunson the second coming of Michael Jordan? Cause only Jordan has done 40 plus in 4 straight playoff games! This is just insanity! Such a great sign to see him hit all his FT's too! And is Hart the second coming of Rodman? Is he taking HGH? How else can we explain a guy playing all 48 minutes again and playing with such a relentless motor and energy? Hart is a freak!! And DVo shutting down Haliburton, after he pretty much shutdown Maxey in game 6, and hitting another clutch game winning 3 in the playoffs. The Villanova trio is just GREAT!

Thank you Carlisle for not playing that little twerp McConnell for most of the 4th! Thank you Zarba for making the right calls! Although I do think you swallow the whistle late in games but Turner's pick on DVo was too obvious.

Not a perfect game but that's ok. A win is a win! Especially in the playoffs! Have to take better care of the ball, limit McConnell and find a better overall answer defensively cause 117 points on 52/39/79 is not good enough.

And kudos to the board for their behavior during the game thread. We still have the 3 or 4 usual crybabies who give up at the slightest bit of adversity but for the most part everyone was level headed.

"i've decided to stay with tnt"

i feel like this is just a problem without a good solution right now. the bogs injury was unlucky.

maybe instead of g-league guys at the end of our bench, we need to fill them with vets on their last legs for situations like this.

TrueWarrior wrote:Precious got 4 minutes but wasnt it all with Josh and Mitch?

Not enough spacing with those 3. Thibs has to either sit Josh when Precious comes in at the 4 or play Precious at the 5. Otherwise he’s not going to work.

The 7 man rotation is barely 7 people anymore too. Deuce and Mitch got just over 10 minutes each. We’ll take the wins but the bench has to be integrated more.

I’d see what Burks can do in a few first half minutes with a short leash. Just tell him to give 3/D or stay on the sideline.

The bench will play more if they play well. Deuce and Mitch were not good last night. Kind of forced Thibs' hands in the second half. But I do think Deuce and Mitch will bounce back and play better in game 2. And this complaining about Hart playing all 48 minutes needs to stop cause it's not going to change and there hasn't been any reason for it to change. Hart isn't getting tired or slowing down in the 4th.

Precious should play more, but as the backup 5. When Indy goes to jackson, he and precious are basically the same players, and neither pacer is a good match for mitch. I don't mind using mitch, but not with Precious. But if you are going to play precious it needs to be at the 5

I think you could play some lineups where you sub Hart out for Precious.

iHart
Precious
OG
Donte/Miles
JB/Miles

After dealing with Kyle Lowry last series, I think we deserve one flop. honestly if there’s any call to be upset about, it’s the phantom kick ball call.

Josh Hart is the true unicorn.

Big men shooting 3s and all that is normal now. What’s not normal is Josh Hart doing big man shat while still playing as a guard.

The way he rebounds in traffic ad sprints back the other way is awesome! You can't guard that. And it seems that he cant be blocked out either because he'll just go over you and tap out. He's got a frenetic/crackhead style!!!

like wes unsettled.
RIP magnumt

thanks for everything, thibs.

where are all the ring chasing vets of yesteryear ? is it an outdated concept ? is the modern game too fast for them to be useful anymore ?

you would think a team like the suns that had ample playing time would have got some and they got nobody.

besides lowry, did anyone add anyone significant for the playoffs ? the heat got kevin love last year. who else was out there ?
