Butler is eligible for 113/2 extension. I wonder if whole situation in MIA is affected by new CBA and 2nd apron

With all of this coming to light, I hope Jimmy enjoyed Miami while it lasted! Hope he ends up in Detroit or Charlotte for saying that...

Re: Around the NBA
So much for Chet Holmgren's RotY bid. Wemby unanimous.
Victor Wembanyama is the recipient of the Wilt Chamberlain Trophy as the 2023-24 NBA Rookie of the Year.
Wembanyama is the third player to earn the honor with the San Antonio Spurs, joining David Robinson (1989-90) and Tim Duncan (1997-98).
Wembanyama received all 99 first-place votes from a media panel, making him the first unanimous NBA Rookie of the Year since Karl-Anthony Towns in the 2015-16 season.
In the 2023-24 regular season, Wembanyama led all rookies in points, rebounds and blocks per game, in addition to ranking fourth in assists and second in steals per game. He is the second rookie to lead all NBA players in blocks per game in a season, joining Manute Bol (1985-86). Wembanyama and Bol are also the only two rookies to lead the NBA in total blocks in a season since blocks were first recorded in the 1973-74 season.
Wembanyama became the first player to average at least 20.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks in fewer than 30 minutes per game in a season. He is also the first player to have at least 1,500 points, 700 rebounds, 250 assists, 250 blocks and 100 three-pointers made in a season.

Will Wemby add the DPotY to his awards?

Knicks v Pacers is a great game. Josh Hart is a playoff player for sure.

I don’t need motivation to root against the Knicks but seeing Steph Mebaby cheering for them courtside ensures I will.

If he stays healthy, someday he likely will.
No chance this year.

I hope you're right, but I wouldn't put it past the voters.

They will not give it to a rookie on a bottom 3rd defense that won 22 games.
No chance in hell.

It would be pretty silly.

Anti Rudy sentiment abounds in the NBA and Love for Wemby knows no bounds. I expect Rudy to win it, but I'm preparing myself for Wemby.

I'll take a quote from sir Charles: "conley is the only tiny guy out there"..
Both okc and Dallas have no chance hanging with our size, length, and athleticism..

SGA gets a ton of calls that result in FT. Seems like every time down there’s a foul call for Okc.

Tony Brothers and Scott Foster could be a tag team. Their team name could be the foul brothers, the riggers, or my personal favorite, YDSUWSY (You Don’t Screw Us, We Screw You.)

11 FTAs for SGA (at the half).
This is why I don’t want to see OKC in the next round (if we beat Denver); I absolutely cannot stand this type of basketball.

SGA getting to 13 FTAs is now equal to the entire Mavs team.

I was just thinking he’s the new Harden with all the fouls/ft

Only one game but I have been saying it all along. I think people are underestimating OKC and definitely overrating the Mavs. The mavericks are a good team but a tier below the top 3 in the west in my eyes. IK think this will be a fairly easy series for the Thunder, a smooth path to the WCF overall.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.
