FWIW, while I don’t agree with breaking up the Nuggets, I wanted to point out that the DNVR guys are legit, not like the national media just trying to generate click-bait.

They are paying too much for MPJ. They need to trade him and get pieces which fit more.

I've been expecting Atlanta to pursue MPJ at some point in an effort to keep Trae content. Hunter is a lesser player but costs less, too.

I don't think they'll ever trade Murray, so it's pretty much MPJ, two firsts (2027, 2031), and pick swaps. Braun has some value too. It's not a bad trade package at all, but don't think any return would be enough to contend with OKC and MIN in the next few years.

If I'm the Cavs, I go all in and find a way to pair Mitchell and Mobley with Jokic.

Denver gonna have to sweeten the deal with picks…
Last year was an asterisk chip, as were the 3 MVPs.

They're totally legit, especially Mares (who made this remark)
** Luka made The Finals without Brunson
** Embiid is the only MVP in NBA history to never make a conference final
** Philly won multiple playoff games without MVP Embiid
** LeBron missed the playoffs with Davis
** Steph missed the playoffs with Klay

Everyone but Jokic+AG should be on the table.

Why stop the count there.
I count:
2 conference finals to zero
1 finals appearances to zero
1 fmvp to zero
1 conference mvp to zero
1 championships to zero
3 MVPs to 1
3 all nba first teams to 1

They easily would have won last year without Murray and MPJ even if that $70 million was poorly spent.

He didn’t say break the team up though. Retooling maybe if they fail in this fashion by getting swept.

Maybe, but I think they'll be too loyal to Murray. Malone would fight to keep him for sure unless there was a deal too good to pass up.
Would be cool to see something crazy happen like an MPJ for KD deal.

Re: Denver reporter: Nuggets may need to break up the team
Let's pretend they really can't beat the Wolves, not this year and not the next.
Don't blow it up. Keep being a top team and wait your chance. Another team might eliminate the Wolves. There might be an injury.
You keep going far and hope that one year things go your way.
You don't blow a championship team with a player like Jokic. Nuggets aren't the Lakers or something who can acquire top talent here and there. They have Jokic, they ride Jokic and try to make small moves to improve the team.

AG in the dunker's spot is sabotaging Jokic for a few key matchups. They can double Jokic without getting hurt by AG. In those matchups they would be much better offensively with a guy who could simply hit a wide open corner 3. He absolutely has to go as more teams evolve to this emerging meta. He and Jamal are the two guys I am trading first.

Denver just needs 2 solid bench/role player guys with size and shooting capabilities. Maybe 1 small spark plug guy too. New cap rules may prevent them from getting those types though.

They need more talent. Trade a bunch of picks for a reliable second option.

Re: Denver reporter: Nuggets may need to break up the team
They are already in the tax before resigning KCP they likely will need to move MPJ for a cheaper contract.
Detroit is obviously desperate I wonder Denver would take on Stewart for MPJ, or if they'd want Stewart + Ivey.
I doubt Detroit would give up both but I could see them moving one to add a legit scorer like MPJ to a team desperate to add talent.
