When do the NBA All-Defensive Teams, and the All-NBA Teams come out?

Likely next week. Last year, All-NBA teams were announced a week after MVP.

I'm expecting Jrue Holiday and Derrick White to make the All-Defensive Teams.
Jayson Tatum will make an All-NBA Team, and maybe Jaylen Brown does, as well.

OK. I'll check. First DPotY and first 6MotY awards were both in 1983.

Oddly vs. today, perimeter players won most of the early DPotY awards, while bigs got most of the early 6MotY nods.

All-Defensive Team started Russell's last season, which is the same time Finals MVP was introduced.

Good looking those up. -- Interesting how things have developed. I'd like to see the "Hockey Assists" recorded.
And for some of these Awards, there should be more than one. Like DPOY & 6MOY, as perfect examples.

While we already have the All-Defensive Team; I think that we need to add a 3rd row to that.
Also, there should be an All 6th-Man Team.

The League has added a lot of Players, yet the Awards have lagged grossly behind. 450 Max NBA Players, plus another 90 Two-Ways. If they're going to have the Awards, then they might as well keep pace.

All End-of-bench team? All Two-Way team? :D

Easiest add would be a third all-defensive team. The number of guys who deserve to be on a team is probably way over 10.

Most obvious 9 for me:

Gobert and McDaniels
White and Holiday
Bam
Anthony Davis
Wemby
Caruso
Herb Jones

Surely one or more from OKC as well

Josh Hart?
Lu Dort?

Have to be some other Cs. Gaff maybe?

Surprised SGA finished above Luka with all the momentum Luka had towards the end of the season. Similar momentum seemed to push Brunson ahead of JT

As I have gotten older, MVP has meant less and less to me. Would much rather have a current FMVP on the team instead!

Hart gets so many calls because he has a very serious stare.

Also because his jersey says New York on it.

Officials really favoring the Knicks. McConnell got wiped out on a screen. No whistle.

Knicks are already tired. They look dead in the water.

Brunson faked a little injury to get a few minutes of extra rest lol
