My preferences:

1. Trade for a Booker type star. If they're keeping the tinder dry for this situation, great. Likelihood of this happening seems low.

2. Trade for Murray.

3. Sign Monk. If we can sign Jones in the same offseason, bully.

4. Sunset an Old (Thompson, George).

5. Run it back.

Googling "Franz Wagner max" first result

Not only does Wagner have the statistical production to warrant a max contract extension, his archetype is one of the most valuable to have in the league.

As a jumbo wing who can create offense for himself off the dribble and play off-ball, he's shown the potential to grow into a star forward, someone who's a walking mismatch and a constant headache for opposing defenses to try to contain. Add in his defensive prowess, and he's already one of the most complete players in the league.

If he continues to grow his game, a second contract max extension would wind up a bargain for a 6-foot-10, two-way Swiss army knife that is putting up the numbers he has.

Pretty much sums up.

Because it doesn't really matter in terms of evaluation of him.
Avdija and Cade were bricking everything in their 3rd years just to have best years in year 4 ( both playing and shooting vise).

We have 2 college years + Alba Berlin year + 2 NBA years to know he is at least servicable as shooter.

I don't understand your obsession with his max. What's the difference, per year, from him getting max contract and $38M or him getting some $32M .
What's there for Magic to gain? Flexibility to sign 14th man in rotation up par with Biyombo ? ( who makes execlly $6M)

and in your opinion what's Suggs and Banchero's value, contract vise?

Paolo should get the max and Suggs around $20m.
