Win shares, BPM, defensive stats. Adjusted +\-, etc.

Not sure if he's a "max" player but he's going to have all the leverage in world this summer.

Ownership has put their money with their mouth is and is paying everybody now that they're deep into the cap. Undoubtedly, D White is going to warrant a significant payday.

This summer there is not much to discuss. He is eligible for a 4/122 extension and Boston will offer that. White says yes or no. If no then the following off season he is a free agent.

It is crazy how guys like Derrick White, who I like alot, now make as much as almost the top movie stars in the world. The NBA is popular but it isn't that popular. Due to tv deals, all of the sports league are able to get a lot of money from non-sports fans.

Yeah I think the difference is the top movie stars can only star in one big blockbuster every 2-3 years whereas in the NBA you play 82+ games a year spanning the stretch of 6-8 months.

That’s cool but that is not the argument you made.their seasons were nowhere nearly identical.
If we want to talk about who is the better investment over the next 5 years then that’s a different conversation. Suggs can definitely turn into a Derick White level player and White is probably at or near his peak.
For the Celtics they want to keep this window open for a few years so they would probably choose White because of fit, but I can see the argument for the upside of the younger player.
