In a 7 game series up 2-0 sure

We need to score 115 to win games and at some point there’s not enough offensive capability

Still confident the knicks win game 3 without OG.

Deuce redemption game and precious steps up.

Glad we at least know that in OG Anunoby, we have the best perimeter defender in the league and he can go and get you 28 if need be in a playoff game

Next year it’s over for the league.

Still hope he gets to play this series.

I really hope he is right....this sounds like a potential game 5 return. I myself had a torn Hamstring 15 years ago during a soccer game......turned out to be a grade 2-3 tear...but despite considering myself as a generally more pain sensitive guy with little pain tolerability...the injury really didn't feel THAT painful. I was just walking off the soccer pitch with a slight limp and 1 week pause in mind. Turned out 6 weeks.

If we get word that OG is likely only out a couple days I would be ecstatic at this point. Usually when I see soccer players walk off the pitch with a pulled hamstring they are rarely in severe pain but in most cases out 2-6 weeks. They usually just walk off with a slight limp....fingers crossed here..

The road absolutely just got tougher. We lost Mitch AND OG in the same game basically. Thankfully we had had OG for half of this one. He held it down and kept us in this game. It's not gonna be any easier at all. Being up 2-0 is a blessing right now. If OG is out for any extended period, it's gonna take some amazing basketball to get much further than we are now.

good thing they dont play defense. donte has no problem scoring against them. even josh hart is averaging 19+ PPG in these 2 games against them so far

Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I do find it interesting they're "pessimistic" about Game 3 specifically, am I reading too much into it to say thats a good sign? Like I'd be more worried if they were like 'pessimistic he'll return for the series, or even the playoffs' something like that would be more alarming.. idk maybe I'm just hoping.
I optimistically interpreted it the same way. Like they are looking at this as a game to game injury.

Game 3 even being on the table is encouraging.

Yeah normally I’d feel the same, but look how they handled his elbow. They strung us along for weeks with naive optimism.

My hunch is that OG is super conservative about playing with injury while the Thibodeau Knicks are super aggressive about wanting their guys to play through.

Also normally I’d say that a contract year player would play through, but Sammy Rose’s client is guaranteed the max no matter what happens.

I’ve mentally written off OG’s return for this series and for the first 2 games in Boston should we move on.

Yeah. We'll be hearing the questionable report for a couple weeks. This series could stretch to 6-7 games now, I wouldn't expect him back before that. If he comes back sooner...rejoice!

There's still offense, it just comes in the form of offensive rebounding now when Precious plays the 4 with IHart. Because IHart can pass and will play outside it gives Precious more chances to go against guys that can't keep him off the glass and trickles down to them devoting more attention to him which allows Josh to get on the boards as well. We'll score by just getting more possessions than them and limiting them to 1 shot and out on the other end, in the first half we had 4 offensive rebounds, 8 in the second half with Precious getting 3 in the 4th quarter alone. The dynamics change without OG, we'll just beat them up on the glass now.

The Pacers could try and play Jackson with Turner, but their offense takes a hit and we can put IHart on him while Precious takes Siakam or Turner.

I hope so but OG couldn’t walk or put much weight on it. This would mean bad cramp and not tear.
If torn he is out for plyoffs most likely.

I think we can finish Indy with Precious and let OG rest for Boston. I we look sorry without him then if he can try to play then yes.

My medical opinion is that he'll miss the Pacers series but could be back for the Celtics if we get that far (we will).

When I saw it, that was what I hoped for. Looked bad.
OG now got a Limited Minutes Thibs Card. Really, have to condider it next year, say 36 or so.

Is your medical opinion based on medical training or just an opinion regarding a medical topic?
I based mine on the doctors video, so I relayed a medical opinion.

We have a team, if Randle, OG, Mitch, etc. are all healthy that could win the chip.
With all our picks and maybe another great trade, look out. Scary good.

It’s Burks and shake milton. Sims isn’t playing unless ihart gets hurt

The problem is Burks has to play with their bench... this might work only if you put Burks with Brunson, Donte, Josh and Achiuwa and switch everything and then McBride for either Donte and Josh... 6-10 mins per game... Milton only to put some rest for Brunson and not let Deuce play the point but only off the ball... these two games in Indy are crucial, the rotation must and should expand, even for a 10-20 mins total redistributed playing time

 Doctor? No. But I have a decent working knowledge of some medical conditions due to my tenure doing workers' compensation litigation and my own physical maladies.

i'm confident we can beat the Pacers 2 out of 5 games without OG. i don't think we can compete with Boston without OG.

if medically there's any chance of OG playing in the next round, he should be rested for the remainder of the Pacers series. we can steal one in Indy and close things out at home in Game 5. and hopefully the Cavs wake up and push Boston to at least 6 games to give our guys some rest before the ECF.

Return to New York Knicks
