If we can just be super consistent with the bats now.

And there's some competition coming off the IL. Burdi is on assignment at Somerset. Kahnle is not too far off and has a bullpen session this Saturday and could begin assignment next week. Effross and Trivino will be back sometime this summer. If we can just be super consistent with the bats now.
The bats are the reason why this team isn't the best in the league. I don't think a Yankees starter has an ERA over 4 and we all know how lights out the bullpen has been so far.
Only Soto has a BA over .300, but at the very least Judge, Verdugo, Rizzo, and Trevino have been trending better with the Detroit series into last night.

Cashman always does that though. The big issue is how he kinda uses it as a bandaid for a poor rotation, especially for things that need to be planned for (injuries, pitch counts, innings limits, yips, etc).
It works well in the regular season but in the postseason, it can be a bigger problem because teams get regular looks at the same relievers throwing the same pitches.

That kid is getting grounded.
And out of nowhere, a beautiful glove flip from Torres.
