Glad JT was scoring the most amirite? :D

Piss poor effort and good games by the Cavs in general that were poor in game 1.

Celts in 5.

Let them shoot 55% whilst shooting 41% in reliance on the 3 ball, then combine that with a completely flat, disinterested 2nd half from everyone and we get this scoreline.

It's happened plenty, we just move on. I don't think there's much expectation that they will stop doing this once in a while, it's who they are. However the real hope is to focus on those 4 games where we look every bit the title favourite.

Fully expect to see the usual bounce back over next two games.

shoot 23% from three when the other team shoots 46%, you are gonna lose. Although maybe not necessarily by 30.

I just want to say that the “fans” on here are in another world with their ridiculous expectations. I’ve got news for you. The Celtics are going to lose again these playoffs. Multiple times. You set an asininely high bar, you’re going to be disappointed over and over. These are the playoffs. Series are won 4-2, not 4-0. Shooting variance, which will usually favor the Celtics, will, on occasion, go against them. They are still clearly the better team.

But go on calling the team and its players soft. That’s the type of support the team is used to from you after EVERY SINGLE loss.

And they beat us in the paint, too. We could have countered and we didn't. We should have seen it coming and been ready after losing the same way to Miami. We didn't.

I think the anti-Tatum venom in the game thread was too much. And let's not use the word 'soft' for so many reasons. He's not soft.

But there is something worrying about Tatum where he is willing to rack up good numbers, but ultimately feel like a bit of a bystander in a game when we needed his fingerprints on a comeback. That's on Joe in some ways, but Tatum has to find a way to impact the game more directly than gravity, even against double teams.

J. B. Bickerstaff actually outcoached Joe.

You clearly have no idea what the difference is between a five point, close game loss, and a home game ass whooping by 20+ points.

Let me break it down for you, there's a huge **** difference.

He literally led the team in points, rebounds and assists.
But yeah I agree with the initial sentiment. Soft is a pointless thing to say.

No killer instinct.

It's the fatal flaw in the Tatum/Brown core and as fans,we have witnessed it for the past five seasons.

It's why Tatum/Brown will never hang a Banner.

Get used to it.

What I am consistently seeing is him stopping to shoot too far from the basket, on drives he should be going right to the cup. He ends up taking awkward shots, trying to get foul calls. He takes one more step and he's either going to make it or get fouled. He just isn't doing that.

37-4 at home in the regular season

3-2 at home in the playoffs

These guys are all talk. Both Tatum and brown have regressed. Tatum can’t take over games anymore, I’ve seen enough this season for him to notice that. Aside from the game against the Timberwolves, Tatum can’t flat out have big scoring performances this season. Feels like he has the yips right now shooting knowing every shot is a miss. Can he not have a game where he hits 4-5 threes instead of making at best 1-2? Can he not dominate quarters dropping 14+ like Mitchell anymore? This is all on JT, don’t care how ass JB and Jrue can look time to time but the truth is Tatum at best probably has like 1 B game these playoffs and rest are C or below. You’re labeled a superstar but haven’t shown much at all these playoffs

After last game, I posted "I might be crazy but I feel like we would be punked by a serious team even though we won by 25". Well I was right, sigh. This team is still playing regular season ball and its extremely disappointing this is still happening. We'll win this series but I'll be more surprised if we can beat whoever comes from the West or even the Knicks. Get ready to hear the same sh*t by the players.

Their defense was better than our defense which helps explain that their shooting was better than our shooting too.

We didn't work hard enough to defend for 48 minutes and didn't work hard enough to create movement in offense for 48 minutes.

Shooting Variance did us in again. Brad needs to trade for that guy if we're serious about Banner 18.
