Why? Detroit is a low pressure environment on their athletes.

The Mavs missed the playoffs without Brunson.

It'd be a waste of money. Simone Fontecchio is probably better than him at this point. That being said, the Pistons are the worst organization in the NBA and perhaps in all of professional sports, so I fully expect it to happen.

Wow. Just say he's not available. It's less offensive.

This has the same feel of "Masai was asking for the moon for players".
I just don't trust these reports.

Waste of money? He's probably only getting a vet minimum. Additionally, young teams need true vets around.

I vet min is clearly an absurd expectation.

Or is he the Steph Curry of the Rick Brunson's of GMs?

Brunson: So what are you paid to do?

If he's not careful, he'll be the David Kahn of GMs.

Yeah he also asked for like 10 1sts and Luka for Ben Simmons during those negotiations, and people spent months roasting him for it and calling him insane etc. Then a real situation both sides were interested in came around, and a real negotiation happened.
He's made as many trades as any GM in the past decade, some good and some bad but enough that we don't ahve to take this 'is Morey on drugzzz?!?' stuff seriously.
