Why would it matter is he get swept then?
When did I say it would matter?
When you quoted me?

I quoted you saying others haven't done **** in the playoffs. I'm saying playoffs don't matter for MVPs. Try to keep up.

The majority believed in slavery for a time. The majority can be and often is wrong.

Murray.
Porter.
Gordon.
KCP.
Comeon now. Most teams would kill to have that starting lineup behind their star. I would as a Sixer fan I mean Maxey is great but the rest of our lineup was hot trash.
Where the Nuggets biggest weakness is their bench. Their GM keeps trading away talented bench guys and pretending it doesn't matter.
Benches matter a lot. But how about OKC?
Holmgren
Dort (OK he's a weak spot maybe)
Williams
Giddy
Boston
Holiday
Brown
White
Horfod/Porzingis
Bucks
Lillard
Lopez
Portis
Middleton
The Nuggets fit extremely well together and it's hard to argue against that synergy. But if we're just talking who's talent there are multiple teams.

At the end of the day people judge the greats by championships.
The more MVP's Jokic wins people are going to expect more championships. It's going to look real crazy if this guy has 6 MVP's and only 1 championship.

That one was on Bret Brown. The ‘ers completely smothered the Raptors at the end of game 7, but he couldn’t draw up a single offensive play to save his life. Yeah, ‘Biid was both hobbled and had a GI bug, but Jimmy, as usual, was clutch down the stretch, and it took Leonard’s brilliant 4-banger over the over-rated Simmons to seal the deal, and go on to win the title. Bret had failed to develop unicorn Ben, but was resigned by the clueless Harris, who agreed to deal Butler for dassing to call it like it is. Bret went on to pass on SGA, while trading a decent homegrown PF, who we could have used, for the star-crossed, positionless Zhaire.
I’d love to get Jimmy back together with ‘Biid, now with Maxey and Nurse, but hate to think what Pat would charge.

Other than potentially Boston who I overlooked I am not taking either of those rosters. Lillard was terrible most of the regular season and the rest of that lineup is washed.
I like OKC but that starting lineup doesn't have the same firepower which is why SGA had to average like 30 PPG.

Terrible take...just beyond words bad. OKC and Boston are for example way better defensive teams. SGA just scores...but anyway...

Boston I will give you.
As far as the rest goes you want to talk about bad takes you are talking about defensive teams as it relates to a MVP trophy. Like what does that have to do with anything. Noone is winning MVP trophies because of how good at defense their teammates are.
That is literally the worst answer in the thread.

Yes I’ve seen this one. But as I said I was hoping to see this chart without all the names blacked out.

Holy smokes - I love all the spins you threw in there. Blame Bret - check. Blame Simmons - check. You now say you'd love to see what Embiitch/Maxey/Butler with Nurse as a coach would do. Like, how much help does Embiid need?![]()
Jokic just won a title without a single all-star, all-D, or all-NBA player and we're sitting here talking about the 76ers wanting to stack the deck with 3 all-stars and likely HOFers + Nurse for a chance at a title.
I needed the laugh today, so thank you!![]()
