Why do we think that is?
Imagine being in crunch time with one of the all-time great scorers in league history, Joel Embiid, and a guy like Maxey who averaged almost 30ppg and a 57% TS. Yet, you're going to ask someone like Dejounte Murray win the championship for you? Something doesn't seem right.
What we need is to build a team that can set up both Embiid and Maxey effectively, ensuring they stay fresh and get better opportunities than the opponent's top players.
There are numerous ways we can achieve that goal, but for me, it comes down to two key factors. First, we need to find an offensive engine for the minutes when Embiid is off the court, the easiest way is to find a pick-and-roll partner for Maxey. Second, we should find a player or players who can lighten Embiid’s defensive workload and can maintain our defense if Embiid is not playing or not 100%.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.
