Oh. So only 1 for 1 trades ?? or player(s) for same #of player(s) ?
we can trade pick(s) and a player for one player ?
What is the exact penalty for uneven trade combinations ?
They can trade a player for a player or players making less or equal money. They can attach picks to the trade.
They can’t trade 2 or more players in a single trade and they can not take back more money than they are sending.
There is no penalty they just can’t. If a team makes an aggregated trade then they are hard capped at the Apron.
Thanks alot for the breakdown !
I am still confused about the bolded statement. So you CAN make an aggregated trade but penalized with hardcap, or cannot make aggregated trade under AnY circumstance ?
We are way above aLL aprons
A little known CBA fact is that the only way any team can trade multiple players that add up to one player's salary is by using the aggregated players exception. You are not trading Brogdon and Robert Williams for Jrue, you are trading Brogdon and Robert Williams to create an aggregated players exception which is Brogdon's salary + Robert Williams' salary + $250k or whatever then taking Jrue into that exception. If you are over the 2nd apron you cannot use that exception, aka no sending multiple players for one player at all.
