Jaden Ivey for #8
Given the Spurs landed the Raps 2024 pick, is there a viable swap between Spurs and Pistons?
-Spurs get a PG prospect with 2 years on his rookie deal and 2 seasons worth of NBA experience
-Pistons can re-tool backcourt with #8 pick along with their own pick.
Does it make sense?

If I were SA I’d rather have Sheppard or Dillingham or Topic than Ivey, especially with an extra 2 years of team control

I don’t think Ivey is worth a lotto pick even in this draft.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

No, Ivey isn't a good shooter, defender or playmaker, pretty much all the things you'd want out of a PG. He's a combo guard who may make sense as a flyer, but I'd rather gamble on whomever is available at 8th than Ivey.

Ivey needs a change of scenery and a chance as a primary ball handler.
Seems like a good deal for both teams.

Easy yes for Detroit. Spurs may have bigger things in mind though…..

If I were the Spurs I would rather end up with Topic and Williams than say Williams and Ivey.

I don't think Ivey has shown that value...still a maybe, imo...however, I'd send 2 later frps to bring him to ORL (#18 and DEN 25 frp)
I don't think value is far off in OP, but I'd guess SAS starts with fresh meat.

With fans loving their own young players the most, it is a bad sign of Ivey's value when Det fans are on board here.

It is.
It’s unclear whether it’s fit, coaching, or just Ivey not being that good but Ivey had an undeniably rough year.
Those who still believe in him don’t view him as a fit with Cade.

If #8 is close then could he get to the Bulls for #11?
Wait to see if the Bulls can move Lavine and Caruso and they play a trio of White, Dosunmu and Ivey.

Think Ivey would run into the same problems he has in Detroit. He needs his own team.
Ivey would thrive in Washington, Brooklyn, Phoenix, Philly, Spurs, Toronto, Utah.
If the TWolves want to save money and get their PGOF then maybe there is a deal there. Same can be said for NOP potentially.

Sounds like China would be a good fit

What you think of Luke/Ziaire/Konchar/#9 for Jaden Ivey and Isaiah Stewart. Clears up cap and opens a roster spot.
Ja/Des/Smart/JJJ/Stewart
Jaden/Vince/GG/Santi/BC

More interesting question may be which pick Ivey is worth.

Re: Jaden Ivey for #8
I don't see Ivey worth anything close to #8. I know some players take longer to develop and he's not in a great spot for development, BUT he's been not good. He seems like a reclamation project throw-in in a larger trade. In one for one in terms of draft value, maybe he nabs a late 1st?
