Brian Stokes is a met!!!

Yahoo!!!

Omar is the master of off-season acquisitions. Love the 7 plus ERA.

OK, Kidding aside, why not do this deal. Stokes didn't cost anything other than cash, and he'll probably spend the year in triple-A as bull pen insurance. He's an extra arm if we need him.
Bill Clinton slept with an intern. A consenting adult and he got impeached and nearly disbarred as a result. Donald Trump went to parties showcasing underaged women brought in as basically prostitutes, and he says it's nothing.

Double standard?

I agree. No harm no foul. There is obviously SOMETHING that the mets see in this guy that they think they can tweak/fix- i dont really see any other reason that could make Omar want this guy, a 7era guy can be had anywhere, there is obviously some reason why Omar picked him.

Another project that if it doesnt pan out, doesnt hurt us one bit.

whos yelling at omar?

its a win win for the mets...if he dosent pan out they dont lose a prospect/player but if he can fix that era or whatever has been plauging him then the mets made out like bandits

He'll fit in nice in the Zephyrs bullpen.

ever heard of this site called metsblog.com?

it's filled with the worst homers, fairweather fans and ignorant retards (apart from braves/phils/yanks blogs, of course) ever. it's getting tougher to read every day. it used to be a great source of mets news with a few insightful comments from readers but it's gotten too popular.
