The four-time NBA All-Star added that Knicks fans are being set up for disappointment.
"And I think what this is setting y’all up for is what happened to the Atlanta Hawks three years ago when they made the conference finals, and they never got back." The Hawks advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2021, before losing to the Milwaukee Bucks in five games. The Bucks went on to win the NBA Finals that season.
Green also used the Portland Trail Blazers' miscalculations after the team's appearance in the 2019 Western Conference Finals as a warning to the Knicks. He also shared a gloomy prediction for the Knicks, saying there were "years of misery" ahead.
"…Another team that did this just to give you perspective was the Portland Trail Blazers years ago when they had Al-Farouq Aminu and Allen Crabbe, all those guys went to the conference finals, and we swept them pretty much without Stephen Curry," Green said.
"Then Portland ran off and paid all of those guys because they thought they had a team that had a chance and it was a fluke and that is what the Knicks are setting y’all up for. It’ll probably be another 15 years of misery, and we’ll all sit around at laugh at Knicks fans with their delusion, because that’s just what happens."

I'm not sure I disagree with him, but it is wild that an active NBA player is saying this kind of stuff. Be a player or be an analyst

Or be player/analyst not taking shots at teams and their fans who are still playing while you are sitting on your couch.

Exactly what I was thinking. Will be even more true after they overpay Klay to come back. Talk about owners of glass houses throwing rocks...

They were pretty awful against the Lakers too. I thought they might lose one of the first 2 games against the Wolves but never both. These last 2 games have seen them wake up as you say.
Thank goodness too! The playoffs haven’t been an amazing spectacle so far.

I think they would've won game 2 but they just imploded by the physicality that the wolves add. Also Marc Davis doesn't call fouls and the wolves took full advantage. Really they need a Marc Davis like ref to win another game unfortunately.

Davis will help the Wolves but Gobert and KAT are both genuinely soft when it comes to playoffs. As much as I love Ant Edwards, I can’t support the other two.
KAT is a massive front runner and I always find it interesting when posters propose trades with him coming to the Dubs.

I had the Nuggets taking this game but with Marc Davis and how game 2 went, it gives me major pause. I think I can only take Min 1st qtr for this game.
KAT actually has improved but he is a softy. He would probably work well with Draymond though as an enforcer. A Curry/JK/Wiggins/Dray/KAT lineup would actually be really good though.

Who do y'all want to win it all?
I think my order is:
Min
Ny
Ind
Den
Dal
Bos
I realize that there's no chance in hell that Indy or New York wins it all, or Dallas for that matter. The only ones I'm actively rooting for is Minny and New York.

Denver just so all the Lebron Stan’s can go crazy when people start putting Jokic above Lebron.
