Bullpen still needs work and I'm not sure we'd sign Rowand, we might just let Damon play CF.

I gotta say I would much rather see the Yanks keep their young talent and have a 2008 team that looks more like this:

Starting Pitching
1 Wang
2Pettitte
3Moose
4Joba
5Hughes
With Clemons for 1/2 a season and Ian Kennedy as a fill in guy

I agree this is where the Yanks need to really focus their attention

Bullpen
6th inn. guy Bruney
7th Farnsworth
5th to 6th Ohlendorf
6th or 7th Veras
4th 5th 6th 7th Igawa
setup Vizcano
Closer Mo

Batting
1Damon LF
2Jeter SS
3Abreu RF
4Arod 3B
5Posada C
6Matsui DH
7Cabrera CF
8Cano 2B
9Duncan or Giambi 1B

Bench
Molina C
Giambi or Duncan
Betemit Infield
Sardinha Outfield

Also I ask is the team you listed really that much better then the team I have listed? Thinks to think about; We would be giving up every top prospect the Yanks have minus Joba and Hughes in projected deals we've heard about. Also if you believe some reporters say Phil has to be part of the deal to net Johan for the Yanks.

 exactly i think most our starters are relatevly young they
can take it to 7 innings, its just sometimes the starting pitcher give
up early runs that will damage his psyche, and sometimes the tank
is just empty, and thats the time you need the bullpen to step up
and take the lead to the greatest closer of all time.

Must be true, if it's a rumor you read on Hoopshype.

I was thinking the same thing the other day. I know Posada has a good bat but I think it would be good to not have him batting directly behind Arod. I think Cano would be a better choice. I think Giambi should be put there early on to see what he can bring from the DH. Let Posada go a little lower in the lineup. -Jitpal
