My official guess is he's back for a potential game 4, exactly 4 weeks after the injury. Assuming of course the Celtics get that far. The Finals would start June 6th, about 5.5 weeks post injury.
You think that Porzingis will take that long?
He's already moving somewhat and shooting.
Yes. I wouldn't be completely SHOCKED if he's back in game 1 or 2, but maybe a bit surprised. A fair comparison is probably Giannis, who was out more than 3+ weeks and described as "not that close." Its possible Kristaps injury isn't as bad, he seemed somewhat optimistic on his recovery after the injury. But he also has a history of leg issues and the start of the ECF would only be three weeks post injury, i expect the C's to be careful with him.
The video of him shooting doesn't really mean much. A calf injury doesn't stop you from taking stationary shots without lift. It stops you from accelerating and decelerating. When we start seeming him running the floor or taking light contact then he's about a week away.
That said the Celtics have been pretty non committal on timelines and secretive about the grade of strain, so its always possible he's just farther along than has been revealed.
