Hey guys. A while back I was on here talking about KAT’s trade value and the possibility of you guys pairing him with Young. I was just curious for those of you who have been watching his playoff defense and his overall playoff game if you have changed your opinion about his value?

I believe i was previously in the trade anyone other than Trae, Jalen Johnson, Okongwu for KAT camp.
Ironically, I would no longer trade for him.
- KAT's value has indeed increased. But he is currently at the peak of his powers.
- He's been good; Wolves may actually win a title this summer.
- This level of team/player success does not feel sustainable to me.
- KAT is likely 2 years away from being a declining player on a monster contract.
- And the Hawks are likely 2+ seasons away from realistically jumping to contender status.

I browse Hawksquawk every now and again to remind myself why I stopped posting there. This "rumor" had me in stitches.
The "whole lot" part would have to be Mercedes-Benz Stadium because there is nothing possessed by the Hawks that would convince the Bucks to trade them Giannis.
There are some decent people who post there. I'd give a lung to get them to leave.

NO for me.
This is the 2nd straight playoffs that Giannis was injured for.
And if Giannis + Dame Lillard can't dominate the league at an all time level, I'm not convinced Trae + Giannis with a worse supporting cast is a better option.

Good. I have no further interest in trading with the Spurs after all the previous iterations like ........Tiago Splitter, Speedy Claxton, and now DJ . Just let it end, we seem to always end up with the short end of the stick poking our eye out.

Not many good things have been going for KAT until now, so you cannot blame someone for not wanting to trade for him, but Anthony Edwards, Coach, woke KAT up.winforlose wrote:Hey guys. Add Dyson Danials and done deal.
Ingram's next contract looms large and I don't trust or feel confident in the Hawks resigning him. If they don't then I'll live with Dyson and the 2027 1st for DJ.

Re: Atlanta Hawks Trade Proposal Thread -- Part IV
This is the move I'd be putting my energy into.
We'd likely have to throw in the SAC pick to really entice Brooklyn into making this move.
But a starting five of:
Trae Young - Bogdan Bogdanovic - Mikal Bridges - Jalen Johnson - Onyeka Okongwu
with Sarr, Kobe, Vit off the bench is almost as good as OKC's starting 5.
Maybe even better than the current Celtics rotation.

I just think that the Nets will be looking for a 'haul of picks' for Mikal.

This is ideal, I do think it would cost us more though.

Maybe, but a rebuild for them is a hard sell because they don't have control of their own picks.
Spoiler:
It's the same package for us, but Nets would get three 1st rounders out of it.

Why would the Pelicans do this though?

Maybe, but a rebuild for them is a hard sell because they don't have control of their own picks. If they really insist on picks, we send Dejounte to Spurs for #8 pick this year and the Hawks 2027 Draft pick. Send both of those and the Sacramento pick for Mikal Bridges.Spoiler:

I don't see the Spurs giving you any of your picks back.

They gets a good point guard who is above average defensively. Ingram's days are numbered in Nola. He wants a max, they don't want to give it to him.One_and_Done wrote:Jamaaliver wrote:I'm still not a huuuge Ingram fan...but this is getting closer.

Feels like they can get more for BI. Also why are they adding value, when arguably BI is more valuable than Murray? It surely can't be to get Capela, given the whole reason for moving on from Val is to get a 5 who spaces and compliments Zion.
Nola can do better than this.

Re: Atlanta Hawks Trade Proposal Thread -- Part IV
BI is not more valuable than Murray right now. BI is on an expiring contract and wants a max or near max deal, which would be paying him almost double what Murray is schedule to make. I don't like the idea of BI on the Hawks (too much iso, lack of great defense, and worsening shooting), but teams that trade for him are either going to be overpaying him or gambling he will take less.One_and_Done wrote:dms269 wrote:They gets a good point guard who is above average defensively. Re: Atlanta Hawks Trade Proposal Thread -- Part IV
So the Pels solve the problem of overpaying BI, who does fit their team, by overpaying Dejounte, who is a worse fit. Seems illogical.
