We know it’s going to be the Knicks and whether or not they are overachieving try hards that aren’t as good as the better teams out west, they are the perfect team for the Celtics to face to get ready for the West. The Knicks will not beat themselves. They will not choke or quit. Celtics will get punched in the face repeatedly and will probably get unfair officiating. The Celtics need to be tested and pushed in this way to get ready for Denver or Minny.

That said, I expect that every minute of this series will suck the life out of me.

This matchup reminds me of a mix between the Celtics 2016/7 ECF finals and the 2017/8 ECF finals against Cleveland with Lebron. Neither Celtics team really deserved to be there but they still made the Cavs uncomfortable.

I mean, even Brunson has been starting full time for only three seasons and less than 2/3 of his games total. Similar to IT that way really that he came on late.

I don't see us losing more than a game against the Pacers, they're fun and all but I don't think they're necessarily better than the Cavs.

The Knicks with a healthy OG is the first team that would have an actual shot us sending us home. That is a very good and well coached team and they leave it all out on the floor. MSG would be the most hostile environment we play in this season. That being said, if we take it seriously and don't f*ck around I don't see how they keep up with our scoring in a 7 game series. I'd guess 4-2 Cs

Losing to the Nuggets in a competitive series is no disgrace but lets be honest about the ECFs. Both the Knicks and Pacers are scrub teams. If the Celtics lose to either even without Porzingis it would be far worse than year's meltdown against the Heat.

If it does happen I will be leading the call for Mazzulla's job and trading Brown.

JUst want to see knicks/pacers go 7 so our guys (particularly KP) have a little more time to rest up.

Knicks seem perhaps like more of a threat, but they're so beat up and injured that I might prefer playing them instead of Indy.

Either way, the team we play will be pretty good, they will present some challenges but we should win the series pretty easily - especially if KP returns to the lineup.

I think we all know that the real test will be in the NBA finals..

I pretty sure if one of either the T-Wolves or Pacers win and ECF won’t start until Tuesday.
