Shams: Knicks preparing to offer Thibs an extension

haven't seen anyone talk about this so i made a thread on it. i think this is a good idea. knicks have been overachieving almost every year with him . pretty awesome that we have a elite coach after going through so many bad ones.

This seems like a no brained for both sides. Brunson’s next contract should line up with Thibs.

Thibs has earned it and deserves it.

Can't fire him unless it's for an elite coach and Brunson needs to approve. I don't see that guy available.

I give him grief (next year he has no excuses not to run a 9-10 man rotation during the regular season with this roster), but the man can coach and has stabilized the Knicks. This is why I have a hard time getting on Dolan. If you know what the heck you're doing, dude just stays out of the way and signs the checks with zero hesitation. Good thing Leon Rose knows what he's doing.
