If that was legal, tourists would get shot several times a day down in Orlando. We're sensitized to it now. It's just an ongoing joke with locals laughing at how tourists drive. No way would we jerk a tourist out of their vehicle and arrest them. Fire Weltman before it's too late! He was entering the PGA Championship parking lot, and he had a 7:48 tee time. So he was 2.5 hours early. The media and other people were already there. Because he wasn't on drugs and the cop presumably wasn't in any danger except for latching himself onto a moving car?
The traffic pattern was changed that morning because of a pedestrian being hit by a bus. Scheffler was unaware of the change, so that was likely the normal way he entered the parking lot. If you've ever participated in a large event, you know that security lets participants in and stops the public.
