Shaq: I'm President of the big man alliance; say criticism of Dwight and others were jokes, says they're sensitive

Post#1 » by ScrantonBulls » Fri May 17, 2024 8:10 pm

Shaq's recent interview with JJ. Redick asked why he went after Dwight and Ben Simmons so hard. Shaq responded by saying he's the President of the Big Man Alliance and has G-14 classification. He basically said he's allowed to criticize these big men since he is the president of the club. He said he was joking when he went after Dwight. Said that if Dwight or others didn't like it, then they are sensitive.

The G-14 classification thing he's always bringing up is so cringey. Is that a reference to Rush Hour from 1998?? Dude needs some new material

He also isn't the best big man ever so I dunno why he thinks he's the president of anything. As I've said before, outside of basketball/sports, Shaq seems like a good and likeable human. But when it comes to ball, especially any discussions about him, he is a giant douche

He's such a weirdo but it makes for good TV and sound clips. You wouldn't get this much fun if Hakeem or Kareem were "President of the big man alliance."

It’s funny that he calls others sensitive when he’s literally the most sensitive and insecure player of all time.

Yall always go too far with the superlatives.
Nonetheless, he did just release a diss track because of a comment Shannon Sharpe made.

Shaq calling others sensitive is just funny. He is the most insecure successful basketball player I have seen.

Idk, think it’s pretty fair to label him as such. His bruised ego caused him to blow up every team situation he ever had, he got into petty arguments and fights everywhere he went, and he held grudges over the dumbest things. And he still can’t admit when he was just not as good as someone else (Nash, Jokic), and instead makes it seem like he got robbed. His post playing career has largely been about him just bagging on the modern generation, especially Dwight. It’s pretty embarrassing.

I mean, he’s definitely in the conversation for being the most sensitive player ever. Maybe KD? Wilt? Shaq is a strong contender though.

Shaq the person kept Shaq the player from being the GOAT. And I think he realizes this now, deep down, and everything he says is mostly projection.

Is Shaq insecure? Yeah I can agree to that... but I can't call him the most insecure NBA player ever when Kevin Durant exists.

Shaq is 100% more insecure. KD will respond to people that attack him and it at least has at least a tiny bit of sign that he’s having fun.

Shaq goes out of his way to attack anyone who he perceives as a threat to his legacy and it just looks personal. It’s honestly not even close.

The truth is none of us know any of these guys personally, so it just sounds exceptionally dumb to talk about who the most sensitive or insecure among them are.

And it really comes down to results based perceptions. Like I never hear anyone calling Jordan insecure even though he was mr. "I took everything personally."

Would you prefer "has made an Old Man Yells At Cloud meme of himself by bitching about and tearing down other players who threaten him?"

Did Dwight ever really "threaten" him though?

Like all of this feels more like fans projecting their feelings and perceptions onto players than anything else.

Shaq says things that are silly asf, I would certainly agree with that. I also don't take him too seriously ever and I don't really see why anyone would!
