Re: Legitimate question to the fans on this forum
I haven't really screamed while watching this team since probably February/March. (Ok, it's a lie, I still yell for PP, White and Horf and call'em mfers when they get hot) I was celebrating every basket before, when it was more uncertain how good we were becoming.
It's only natural to lower your reactions when you get used to continued success. Also good to keep in mind how good it is what you have because nothing's granted.

Team is also a lot more fun to watch with KP in the middle. We're legit dominant with him against the average team.
Agree with redslastlaugh that our offense often feels uncreative and repetitive, specially without Kristaps. Great post btw, Red.

Re: Legitimate question to the fans on this forum
The first two Celtics series have been just about the most boring of the playoffs thus far. They've only lost a couple games, but looked really out of sync in doing so. Plus, a Butler, Rozier deprived Miami and a Mitchell/Allen-less Cavs was not much of a true test.
Compared to NY/Indy, Mavs/OKC, and Nuggets/Wolves, the Celtics have look like they are going through the motions. Maybe that's a good thing, yet they will need a wake up call at some point because the next two series are not going to be a walk through.
Denver and Minneapolis in particular, look like they have the size, defense and discipline to derail the Celtics. I think for a lot of fans, the expected goal is get to the finals, healthy, and then we'll see a full-throated, rabid Garden crowd.

Things I hate:
- seeing the team I root for steamroll the entire league
- watching Holiday and White playing defense
- Hauser and Pritchard dropping bomb after bomb on the opposition
- Brown learning to integrate better inside a team concept
- Tatum continuing to round out his game
- Porzingis showing up to work every day with a smile on his face like he enjoys being here
- Horford locking up dudes half his age
- The Kornet contests
- Queta and Brissett averaging like an offensive board per minute each
- The third unit extending leads instead of blowing them so bad the starters have to get back in the game
This season has been hell.

All of the above. Any deviation from the amazing progress we've seen tends to be over-emotional as a byproduct of fear of replicating the historical opportunities we've squandered.
I also think any comments regarding "live or die by 3" are slightly exaggerated as 1) They are humans and they will take ill-advised 3's now and forever (we only remember when they miss these) and 2) Our reliance on the three ball & not brute force bully ball has probably led somewhat of a healthier roster throughout most of the season.

This board has gotten pretty bad over the years with negativity. Fans really want to fire people and trade people because winning is boarding.

The compete level has been high for a while now. Certainly enjoyable to watch the growth of the team and individual players. Fans expectations of sweeping teams and winning by 15+ points a game, while each player shoots 65% is a little bit much sometimes but it is a passionate group. Basketball is a game of runs, sometimes it will look bad, sometimes it looks good. This team looks good way more than it looks bad. Every minute, quarter, game is not going to be perfect. At the end of the day they just need to win.

Re: Legitimate question to the fans on this forum
The prophecy is continuing quite nicely as we complete our question to conquer our demons.
The ghosts of celtics past:
Round 1: The Miami Heat & Terry Rozier - Represent playing down to level our opponents and me-first basketball
Round 2: Max Strus - Represent historical issues putting players around Tatum and Brown that are complementary
Round 3: Aaron Nesmith - Represent problems with historical development & coaches giving proper playtime time
Round 4: Kyrie Irving - No comment.
