I know Chet's defenders will say he's +8 and 21 points for the game, but watching the game, he was bad. He couldn't block out for boards, couldn't make a shot from the outside. All of his points were from set plays designed to give him easy dunks.

Who cares if he played bad he was +8 and 21 points

Does anyone have a video link to the crazy 3 that Kyrie hit in the 4th?

And specifying don’t foul, because it would be a disaster to miss on purpose with a 1 point lead and then give them 2 free throws.

This is some pretty basic **** though. I can’t see that really being of much evidence that Kidd is a good NBA coach.

You know he blocked the ball right? Any contact after that is not a foul.

Shai made contact with the ball but the ball was never released. Still a foul after the contact with the arm.

Yup. Just like Celtics and even tho it didn’t work for them, the Bucs. When you have top end talent you have to push your chips in. OKC seems content just Collecting Picks instead of turning them into real players/help.

Heat did the same mistakes. Jimmy kept taking us farther and farther and instead of going all in we lose players and other teams improved and we didn’t. Sometimes the games are won and lost in the off-season/trade deadline.

No, they are idiots.

There is a similar rule but it doesn’t apply to this play. If you shoot and then get hit after the release, they have not been calling it a foul (ala DLo, Brown and others).

I think people are just confusing those with this situation although he still had the ball in his hand

Good to know, I didn't know that.

You're the one dismissing a team as nothing when they’ve won 6 playoff games and have shown more than enough that they belong lol. No one expected them to win a championship in their first year in the playoffs together...

They have a bright future but this Thunder team is lucky they had favorable matchup in rd 1. A team like Lakers would’ve send them home in 4 or 5 imo due to the massive rebounding advantage.

No one but people in LA give a crap about the Lakers right now. OKC has nothing to be ashamed of with the way they played.

Presti failed the team not getting rebounding help at the deadline but they obviously got a super bright future.

They needed more than 3 rebounds from Chet. The rebounding won Dallas this game.

I don't understand the 'SGA needs help' stuff. He, Holmgren, and Williams are a great core. They just need to get more rebounding and more depth and maybe upgrade Giddey.

Credit where it’s due to Irving. I mostly loved him as a Celtic and basked in his antics being a media punching bag in the follow seasons. This entire season in Dallas he stayed away from all the bullcrap and balled out quietly.

Took some years but he turned into a true pro in a setting that likely anybody figured would be the case.
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
Posted about it earlier, surprising the announcers were caught by surprise. That may be part of what made it seem more impressive. Basic play but amazing execution.
