Which players from current playoffs should Raptors target?
Any player from current playoffs who you think Raptors should realistically target in free agency / trade?

Ant. Luka. Jokic. SGA
These guys seem pretty good. Probably worth a pick or two

Maybe sign and trade GTJr and throw in McDaniels.

I'm really not sure we're going to make a bevy of moves this offseason outside of our pick selections, trading Brown and figuring out whether we keep Trent Jr. At best they sign another young big man. I really think Masai keeps his powder dry this offseason.

playoffs once again has shown that you need a superstar to be a real championship contender....so unless Scottie turns into one we are going to need a miracle to happen.

Scottie is on his way to be a superstar. Just need to continue improving his shooting and also bring his focus 100%

lol that would actually be a lot of moves & transactions no?
2picks, 1 trade, a possible resign + a possible FA signing

In Raptor Ball I Trust

Technically the pick would be used this current season. June 30th at 6pm starts the new season. These are pretty much expected moves. I don't seeing us doing something extra to expedite our ability to be competitive this year.

DJJr on Mavs but he's like idealized version of Jalen McDaniels who'll probably command full MLE
Caleb Martin is PO and 95% he'll decline but 95% re-up with the Heat at higher number
I can see Jalen Smith as F/C option

how high are you all on obi toppin? he's a 4 that can shoot the 3 and play in transition. not a good defender tho. and he's 26 so in his prime now.
he's an RFA and made 6.8 mil last year. with pascal's max looming, will they match an offer to him? if we offered him the MLE amount (around $15 mil), would he be worth it?
iq/rj/scottie/obi/yak = that's alot of scoring but pretty weak defensively overall.

That SGA guy from OKC is probably available. They couldn't even get out of the 2nd round. Time to rebuild.
lol.
Realistically? Is there a S&T of Brown for Hartenstein somewhere? If not, a cheap price to grab Mitchell Robinson to be our backup rim-running C could be interesting, even though I don't particularly love his price/games played ratio, or his FT/shooting abilities. He just seems like the kind of guy whose value we could rehab over the season and then move him on at the deadline or offseason for future assets.

I seem to be waaaay lower on Toppin than many Raptors fans. If he came free and cheap, I'd take him, but I don't think I'd give up anything other than some sub-full-MLE salary for him.

i'm not too high on obi either but would a 4 year $50 mil deal be worth it? he's still a rotation player and we're just in our initial stages for building the team.

"Superstar" is a big word. Scottie projects more as a #2 than as a focal offensive guy, which still makes him strong value. He's young, so we'll see, but there is so much missing from his toolkit for that purpose that it seems highly unlikely for him to make THAT level of leap. He's never going to give us what Luka or playoff Ant or SGA or those guys give in terms of scoring punch. That just isn't a reasonable expectation.

Can Josh Giddey learn how to shoot? Can he be traded for?

that's the biggest thing here....you need a guy who can take over the game in terms of scoring, or at least a guy on Jamal Murray level

Raps should target Luka Doncic. Or SGA.
