Orlando trades: Anthony
Orlando gets: Brogdon

Portland trades: Brogdon
Portland gets: THJ/25 TOR 2nd

Dallas trades: THJ/25 DAL 2nd
Dallas gets: Anthony

Now Dallas may still need to dump Powell, but this creates a bigger starting salary for Jones and Anthony has a role as a bench scorer.

Portland clears the tax, keeps Thybulle, and picks up a projected good 2nd next year

Orlando gets a PG while using up less than $10M of their cap space and increasing future flexibility

not me though right? Hope not anyway lol. Always liked Anthony okay as a bench scorer. And now that we are trying to shave pennies off this year for Jones taking on future money on rotation players seems less bad?

Cole only makes 3 less than THJ. If DJJ is taking whatever Dallas can offer after dumping Powell, sure. But it feels like that’s short a couple million to me. And I don’t like Cole’s game…

Good value, just doesn’t do it I don’t think, but maybe my math is off? Because he makes less than clarkson?

You have the Mavs giving up their own 2nd but the Blazers getting the Raptors 2nd. Either way, I like it for the Magic. I would even add a 2nd round pick from the Magic to the Blazers.

So if Dallas dumped Powell after this deal, its not enough for the full MLE? Because yeah I know Dallas needs to shed more.

It's annoying that when you do Chuck stuff, its good and when I do jay stuff its meh. Especially here since this isn't that far off my usual tax manipulation stuff. :D

I wanna say I think it is a smart trade and fair value, but I hope and pray the Magic don't go anywhere near Brogdon. Dude is already 31 and hasn't played a year where he didn't miss a substantial amount of games due to injury. He has had like 9 years to try.

I try to play with it to keep 2.5 mil for Kyrie/PJ, since we hope they hit them. Maybe this does that? Finger math only..
