We gotta bring out the other 3 (Kornet, Tillman, Queta). Indiana has a limited number of Centers.

Didn't care who we faced, but I'm proud of the Pacers, they remind me of rookie/2nd-year Tat and JB Cs who won when no one thought they could.

Series is simple to me. Transition defense. They Celtics have to push the ball on all stops and get back on defense and they will be fine. If not they will need to win scoring 120+

We should absolutely destroy the Pacers on the glass. Turner is a turribul rebounder for someone with his size. They'll probably have a game or 2 when they got really hot offensively but I like the C's in 5 or 6.

Celtics in 5 because we will gift them game 2. This is seriously a cup cake draw to the Finals but that’s the benefit of being the #1 seed.

Good riddance to the hospital Knicks, and their mentally ill fanbase.

Pacers, it is.

I think Myles Turner is an X-factor for the Pacers; on his best of nights he is way better than Siakam. But he can also be prone to disappearing. Anyways, reg season, Pacers were 13-1 when Turner shot at least 64%, versus 9-17 when he shot less than 50%. In the postseason, entering today's game, they were 2-4 when Turner shot 50% or below. Let Siakam try to beat us, lol, he turns chucker.

Otherwise, neither Turner nor Siakam are stud rebounders, and we need to try and take advantage. Pacers were 18-28 reg season when their total rebound % was less than 50%, 1-6 when 41% or lower. 29-7 when 50+%, 10-1 when 54% or higher. Postseason, they are 0-4 when their rebound percentage was lower than 47.5%.

(edit, most teams probably have splits like that, as rebounding is skewed towards defensive rebounding, we are 0-2 this postseason when our rebound % is under 50%, still)

When we have the ball, they lack stud wing defenders but have length near the basket, wouldn't mind seeing the Jays try to establish a midrange game to ease looks elsewhere. When they have the ball, I feel like we can try to play them like teams have played us on occasion, and try to keep them out of the paint, force them to rely on the three ball.

I feel like, Hali is a good leader and Carlyle is a solid strategy guy and they have decent depth - but their weaknesses overlap a bit with ours so I feel like we should manage to pull this one out easily enough.

If McConnell can make a career in the NBA, then Pritchard is fine.

I’m going Celtics in 6. Go 3-1 up, lay a fat one in game 5 where Haliburton goes mental and we respond on the road in game 6.

It really should be in 4 though. Tatum averaged 32-11-5 against these guys. They have absolutely nothing to throw at him besides Nesmith. Nembhard or Haliburton will have to guard Jaylen who in turn averaged 29 on them. These guys might be a better matchup for us than the Cavs.
WHAT THEY GON’ SAY NOW? ‎ THANK YOU TRUTH!

Nesmith is chomping at the bit. Hope the Celtics can end it in 5.

I’m not worried about Nesmith but also don’t want to see him for any longer than is absolutely necessary. Like damn kid, get over it.

My only concern with Nesmith is that he plays so hard it looks like he may accidentally injure one of our guys.

I preferred the Knicks. They were an offensively limited team that played hard. Easier to play against those types of teams in the playoffs.

Anyway I hope Mazzulla instructs Tatum and Brown to target Haliburton on defense every time they have the ball. He is a terrible defender and it messes with him when he is targeted. And go under the pick when defending TJ. He is a poor three point shooter.

And Turner never misses from three against the Celtics. At least it feels that way whenever we play them. No sagging off him at the three point line. It won't be a cake-walk like many think but the Celtics still should win it in the end as long as they don't play lazy like they do sometimes.
Edit: Extend Mazzulla
