Congrats timberWolves!
Ant is more fun to watch!

Jokic vs Doncic would’ve been Euroleague 2024.

Well to repeat it takes a pretty dominant team and the Nuggets were never on the level of the dynasties like the Bulls or Warriors.

They have some weak links in MPJ and Murray which they should probably address but I don't know if they risk team chemistry and try to shake it up? MPJ got so many wide looks from 3 and he bricked a ton of them.

Murray had a lot of unfortunate turnovers although I'm not sure how other point guards would fare with the type of defense the Wolves have been playing.

MPJ was literally giving me flashbacks of Rashard Lewis in Orlando. When Lewis wasnt hitting spot up jumpers he was also practically useless.

Denver was impressive if only the Wolves would stay down but they didnt. Dallas better play some solid D or this is going tog et ugly.

What an epic choke by the Nuggets. Worst game 7 choke in NBA history, up 15 at the half, up 20 in the third quarter

bwgood77 wrote:I remember their last game 7 win to go to the WCF...it was so close with the Kings..those same 2002 Kings that lost to the Lakers who got all the free throws. The Kings probably win it in 2003 but Webber breaks his leg in the playoffs, and is back for 2004 and it goes 7..Webber very emotional at the end of that series, embracing KG. That was like Webber and that King's team last good chance. As a matter of fact, if the KIngs beat them, they might have won it all that year...seems like the Wolves got injured in the WCF vs the Lakers who lost in 5 to the Pistons.

Yup those were some good Kings and TWolves teams back then.

It's always tough as a coach, something else could have worked, and nothing might have worked, and something else could have been worse.

When TWolves were making the run in 3rd, and Denver looked lost on offensive end, he's gotta call a time out. I saw Nuggets just start walking when they went up by 20, like they had won the game, and lost their intensity. That's a danger sign, you gotta call the time out and snap them out of it. This happened to Pacers too, and Carlisle called a couple of time outs to right them. Malone didn't call one till it was too late, when the lead was down to 4. By then Wolves had all the momentum. And he lost the opportunity to rest Jokic. The game was for their taking right there in 3rd. Malone mismanaged it badly there, like he's some rookie coach.

Right. And the best player in the game tonight. 19 RB, 7 AST, 34 PTS.

If you’re someone who’s blaming Jokic, take a long look at yourself.

And right after that terrible inbound turnover.

Yeah, that was bad, LOL. Obviously mattered less because they were up 7 when it happened as opposed it to being up 3 or less, but not even being able to get the ball inbounded would've been bad had it been a bigger situation.

But that putback was a big redeem.

Wouldn’t the same teams just have played in the conference finals?
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Malone not resting Jokic at all in the first half was…a choice. Didn’t have Finch outcoaching Denver this series but kudos. Defense still matters esp with the post asb change

I asked that earlier too.

The TWolves fans were deep in that arena.

Gonna be honest, during the game it was so loud for the wolves I almost doubted myself that the game was in Denver.

I had the winner of this winning the Finals. I had Denver in 7 because they are the reigning champs and you have to respect that, but Minny's defense was just too much for Jokic's others.

Murray was bad all post-season. he had some incredible shots but has generally been bad.
MPJ only shows up against the Lakers I guess?
Aaron Gordon is perfect against the elite big wings like Kawhi/LeBron/PG13 but he didn't have anyone to guard like that in this one.

i guess murray needed 40 points today to 'show up'

He had a hell of a first half but let up. He had 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 turnovers. He needed to keep scoring and when the team first started unravelling he took a couple of heat check shots instead of running the offense.

*and I didn't say Jamal didn't show up. I said MPJ didn't show up. Jamal and Jokic carried the team but I don't think anyone else scored in double digits.

** If Jamal scored 40 they may have won this one. They only lost by 8.
