I can't remember why but KP only averaged 25.6 mpg in 4 games vs. the Pacers. 12.8/6.5./2.8/1.3 on 41/29/88 splits. 54.9% TS%. Numbers weren't great. Indy defense not that good anyway. And there are still matchups we can exploit with our healthy bodies. Would love to see us raise our defensive intensity/effort vs. this run-and-gun team. We'll miss KP's rim protection as Pacers love to get their points in the paint (#1 in RS, #2 in POs).

Boston has no choice but to wait for KP to be 100%.. But I keep thinking when he finally does come back he is going to be as rusty as hell..

Boston has to have the mindset that they have to do it without him for now

Boston in five. The Pacers offense is better but Boston can definitely keep up just fine. Defensively, it’s not even close. Indy’s defense is beyond atrocious.

Had to look it up lol - the 3rd Indy game was the eye injury game where he had to leave after 6 minutes.

So the first game was a massive blowout in the 4th game of the season Boston won. Second game I believe was the IS tourney loss with no KP. Then they won the game he left early and then they lost a 2 point game with KP the next game.

So at the risk of creating a jinx they were a +56 over four games with an overall 2-2 record, 1-1 with KP playing a full game.

Agreed. I think that we have to Plan to do it without him.
If he comes back, and in good enough shape, then all the better. He helped get us a good Regular Season record.

I think we beat Indy in 5. Their defense is really weak and we’re much more organized. But the Jays have to keep their heads straight and play it right.
