^ I think Kong can develop a 3pt shot as good as Horford.
I would still do heavy load management for both Cap and Kong and try to give some minutes to Jalen and AJ when the Hawks go small ball

Re: Deandre Ayton
Apparently due to cap restrictions, Nets will not be able to acquire Ayton in any Durant trade and a 3rd team will have to take Ayton.
Atlanta could always be that 3rd team...

Re: Deandre Ayton
Price has been set for Ayton. So it looks like the Hawks could always Collins and Holiday for Ayton for this coming January.
Or Cap, Holiday, and Harkless for Ayton also works numbers wise.

And works certainly more bball wise, even if I'm not sure if ATL would be better with Ayton than with Capela, Holiday and Harkless.
And Capela has never complain when he doesn't have the ball enough. I'm not sure it would be the case with Ayton who complain while having the second highest FGA average of PHX

Re: Deandre Ayton
56 games games into the season, it's time to heating up, because he's still the 3rd worst Net rating of PHX.
For a Max player, it says a lot, exactly why I wanted no trade for him, and still hoping we won't get him.
He has work to do to deserve his contract, and I'm not sure he's motivated enough for that. Maybe it will change, but for now, I don't want him in ATL

Dude is stinking up the joint again. It's clear he needs a fresh start away from Monty, CP3 and the state of Arizona.

Please burn this thread. This guy is cancerous not only contract but chemistry wise too. What's required of him to do, he refuses and Snyder didn't come here for that. Hot take or what not but Phx will contact the Hawks regarding a trade about him.

Re: Deandre Ayton
Yeah, he's been bad. Like terrible.
I don't know that there is an excuse for how bad.
Kinda makes me appreciate Collins more. As rough as JC has been, he still puts in effort and is, by all accounts, a pretty terrific teammate.
DA is just awful right now. (Trying to come up with a trade just to get him out of Phoenix is difficult.)

Ya i wouldn't want guys like Ayton or John Collins on the team any more. I don't want guys who only care about getting paid and not the game. I would rather get some dawgs who care about the game for Trae and DM like Paul Reed and Nick Richards.
Trae needs an elite defense built around him, like what the Pistons did for Billups and Isiah, and what the Suns couldn't do for Nash.

First, I don't know how you can compare Ayton and Collins like they were the same:
- Ayton is paid 7.5M more per year than Collins
- if other players have been treated like Collins was, a lot would have complained far more than him.
I think you saw that when he's used correctly, he's still putting around 20/10
And more important, if the C rotation is changed, Collins will be far more effective than now.
Now, linking it to PHX: you know if they wouldn't have a title if Joe Johnson had been able to play the whole playoffs, then later, if Diaw and Stoudemire hadn't been suspended... but more important:
when they played with Shaq, they were dominating with him on the floor and Nash on the bench, they were dominating with Nash on the floor and Shaq on the bench, but it they were dominated when playing both at the same time
I got a feeling that here, there's the same kind of problem with Trae and Capela, because like Nash, Trae is good when they are fast, and like Shaq, Capela is better when it's slower
Now, if you replace Capela with a quicker guy who can still play some defense, it will work better than now.
And that's why that they also need more a guy like Bell next to Trae than a guy like Murray who came here and was given more shots than he what he got with a empty roster in SAS, which is totally stupid
Find a guy who can play like Diaw at C, and Collins will look more like Stoudemire.
Trae is supposed to be a fan of Nash, make him play like Nash, and build a roster that match that.

I don't want any overpriced centers, its a guards/wings league. Give me a Center that'll defend, rebound with a little more offense than Clint.

Re: Deandre Ayton
There were reasons why I thought one year ago that we would need more a C like Turner instead of a PG like Murray, and one was that the two teams in the Finals had a C able to shoot 3s
This year?
The 4 teams in ECF and WCF have a C able to shoot 3s
If they trade Capela, they won't necessary get a C with the same individual stats, but the other guys will be the ones who will increase their FG%, they just need to spread the floor and all the offense will be easier for everybody

You sure about that?
It's a Steph/Lebron league. After that, it's all about the unicorns...

Are those guys overpriced? NO
And are we getting or rumored to be getting any of them, or available? NO.
I guess, I should have been clearer

Some people have no clue...
I could care less about MVPs awards. LOL

Only care about championships...
GA has won but Championships are won by perimeter players

I don't buy that statement for a minute. Championships are won by great players on great teams. Period.
From Hakeem to Shaq to Duncan to KG to Dirk to Giannis to Jokic.
If you'd turn down Jokic, Embiid or Giannis (the last 5 MVPs) being added to our team just because they aren't wings...then you're missing the forest for the trees.

Code: Select all
“I can feel the whole world hating me in a way. I’m the guy a lot of people point at and I see it and feel it, but mainly what I’ve been working on five to six days a week since we’ve lost is just motivating myself to change the narrative of what people think about me. No matter you put it, I feel like I have no fans out there and I can feel it because the whole world is saying it. My goal is over the summer is to change the narrative. Just unlock whatever it is and just completely just focus on me and change the whole thing.”
