"Jokic is now 0-5 in playoff series against teams with 50+ wins"
Actually, they did beat a 50-win team: the Clippers... If you look at the percentages.
Recall the 2019-20 season was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic so we didn't get a full 82-game season. Some teams played an average 71 games while those teams who were in the lottery only got to play at the most 65 games. This is why many people disputed the 2020 NBA Bubble Resumption when it regards competitiveness: no evenness in games, neutral court, zero fans. To make the playoffs work, they basically opted to adopt their percentages as seeding determinant. Here's the western conference record featuring the Bubble Record and an 82-game conversion:
1. Los Angeles Lakers: 52-19 (.732) = 60-22
2. Los Angeles Clippers: 49-23 (.681) = 56-26
3. Denver Nuggets: 46-27 (.630) = 52-30
4. Houston Rockets: 44-28 (.611) = 50-32
5. Oklahoma City Thunder: 44-28 (.611) = 50-32
6. Utah Jazz: 44-28 (.611) = 50-32
7. Dallas Mavericks: 43-32 (.573) = 46-36
8. Portland Trail Blazers: 35-39 (.473) = 39-43
Magical things always happens...
But yeah, it's just one of those things where you have to look at things in a different way.

I’m glad he lost. I can’t believe he called out that reporter like that. Disgusting.
I agree 100%. Malone needs a lifetime ban from the NBA for degrading that reporter like that. Inexcusable.

Matt Moore just wrapped up his Game 7 post-game for Locked On Nuggets and he says what others are saying -- Denver ran out of gas. He adds that Denver has been trying to just get by on low energy for like 2 months.

Depth matters. Combine the Finals run last year with a weak bench this season and Denver just tapped out in the end.

Everyone NEED to give Kat his flowers for this game. He was the mvp.
Yup. A lot of people trashing him but he had 23/11 on 8-14 shooting and he, along with Jaden McDaniels, were the only reason the Wolves didn't get run out of the building in the first half.
It's crazy, because KAT has been elite the entire post-season on both sides of the ball, but people hated off of one bad game.

Nuggets fan... as if your team was the only one capable of beating the Celtics.
I mean, good luck to the Wolves. Every other team that has beaten the Nuggets since 2020 has either won the championship or gone to 6 games in the Finals. I just don't see this Minnesota team having that amount of mental maturity. Time will tell.
Only till will tell! that's correct...

Naz Reid was clearly Jamal Murray's box-out assignment, on the put-back.

some players tend to be affected on defense by their own offense... unfortunately Denver has two such players in Murray and MPJ...

Stating that Ant is a more willing defender than Wade is honestly a ridiculous take. I love Ant btw, he’s my favorite non-Knick player. But Wade was an all defense caliber player in his prime. Y’all seriously need to stop with these hot takes based off living in the moment.

The Twolves have been my 1A team to the Hawks since they drafted Marbury from GT, the college basketball program I follow like a rabid dog. I cannot tell you how happy I am to see them finally get back to the WCF. I pray this is the year we finally win it.

I really enjoyed this series, good stuff.
Not much to add other than Reid is really good. How long can he be kept as a sixth man?
Anyway I am trying to hold off of the hot takes.

Ant's young but adding a wet jumper like his to the Wade prototype could make him better eventually.

After sweeping a superteam and kicking out the defending champions, you still doubt them?

Re: 2024 NBA Playoffs: West Semifinals: #2 Denver Nuggets vs #3 Minnesota Timberwolves (MIN WINS 4-3)
Minnesota fans should be thankful to Denver Nuggets for creating this team, and it is not just Tim Conelly, Finch and Nori.
Here is the story.
Some Minnesota fans don't know but the real rise of Denver Nuggets started in the bubble. We were down 1-3 to Utah Jazz, on our way to disappointing 1st round loss. We eventualy won 4-3, Jokic scored series ending shot over Gobert, and Mike Conley missed series winning 3 in the last second of game 7. Next season after another disapointing loss in the playoffs, Jazz decided to dismentle their team and go into rebuildt. So no bubble, no Denver Nuggets, no Gobert, and Mike Conley in Minenesota. This way we can say cosmic justice is satisfied and circle for Gobert, and Mike Conley is closed. And they deserved it. Conley is one of the nices playeres in the NBA and the only player discredited and hated more in national media than Jokic is Gobert (with KAT being second). So be thankful and good luck.

The player Karl Anthony Towns' game reminds me of is Rasheed Wallace.

Funny because when Embiid has human emotions in post game press conferences people on realgm are the first to jump on it. Same goes with when he cried after. The internet literally made a meme out of someones valid human emotion after he lost on a heart breaking buzzer beater. Just lol, don't give me that BS. It was a legitimate question. The least he could do is not say stupid ass questions. All he needed to do was say next question, the other stuff was unnecessary.
