P.J. Washington fits the build of a player who has, historically, given Towns trouble.

I know PJ wasn't his primary defender here, but...

Semi-related, we gotta collectivize and stop being so defensive on the General Board. Not a one or two poster thing at all, even I am guilty of getting super triggered by the Rudy Gobert hate after game five (still drives me crazy that he gets hate, instead of people realizing that we saw a generational performance from a multi-time MVP).

This fanbase is on a trajectory to get absolutely clowned on if we lose.

No but he hasn't lost any game 7s either. Wolves have definitely don't have the best record closing out games

Except it isn't based in logic. It is based on listening to a talk show or podcast citing that statistic without actually analyzing themselves.

Did UglyBugBall even know Karl-Anthony Towns missed 18 of the final 20 games and was a shell of himself for the other 2 games? I highly doubt it, since the Talk Show or Podcast didn't mention that.

I also doubt his source didn't mention how easy Dallas' schedule is/was.

I don't even know if he meant they were better than us the final 20 games or better than they had been in the first 62. Ugly could you clarify?

Technically we were better than than wolves in defensive rating in the final 20. Now if you make me pick who has the better defense, I'll give the slight edge to the wolves anyway, although I think it's close to a wash. I think offensively though the Mavericks have a higher ceiling with Luka and Kyrie which tips the series for me in their favor.

I won't be shocked if the wolves win. They're a good team although I have the Mavs winning. But I think wolves fans are grossly underestimating the Mavericks here. The Mavericks are much better than the Sun's were, and I think are better when the nuggets were.

You are saying your defense was better than the Wolves when the Wolves were missing KAT and playing back to back every other game. I would honestly hope so for your sake. Also remember Rudy missed a chunk of games with a rib injury in that stretch. We also played Denver 3 times, the Suns twice, ect… The Timberwolves match up very well with Dallas, just like Dallas matched up very well with OKC. You guys don’t need to worry about who has the better defense, you need to figure out how to guard KAT without doubling. Because if you double KAT and Ant you will get cooked by Mike, Rudy, Jaden, Naz, and NAW.

I said it on the general board and I will say it again here. The team who controls the glass is likely to win the series. You guys are big, we are big too. You guys have rebounding success in the playoffs, so do we. When Jaden and Ant get involved in the rebounding and we Wolf pack rebound I like our chances. If not, I think our general talent advantage is probably enough, but it will be way harder than it should be.

I think the Celtics are the Soviet Union and I won't look pass DAL even though I am very optimistic that we come out on top.

I can see the Celtics as the Soviet Union, but nah. Denver defending Champ and we had to beat the Soviet union before winning the Gold. So it has to be Denver.

Zombie apocalypse it is I guess, Conley might not even play.

MINNEAPOLIS — As the Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves near Game 1 of their Western Conference final series against each other, Mike Conley continues to deal with a right Soleus strain. He's considered questionable to play in the series opener.
