It’s not like we’re going up against the Timberwolves here…I think Tatum can check Myles Turner as the big out there and like you said Brissett has good wing size and can move his feet much better than Kornet. Kornet and PP broke down the defensive coverages a lot last night, korner due to being way too slow and Pritchard being abused on switches. Hauser was just lost af out there and impacted his game completely.

I hope Mazzulla makes some adjustments because there’s a lot wrong with the lineups that got us killed

I think it’s nuts that people are abandoning ship when it comes to Hauser and Kornet. They both had very good years and are good players. They had bad games. It happens. It’s on Mazzulla to not play our 3 bench players at the same time. That’s not smart. I guarantee that our bench will play better going forward as long as Joe puts them in a position to do so.

Kornet, Hauser and Pritchard were on at the same time for like 10 seconds in the entire game. Hauser replaced Kornet in the 1st, Kornet replaced Hauser in the 2nd. Hauser entered at the 2:38 mark in the 3rd and Kornet left at the 2:25 mark.

The point remains. All 3 should never be on the court together at the same time and neither should 2 of them tbh. Joe should find a way to have 1 on the court at any given time. It can’t be that hard and that’s why he’s being paid the big bucks. Regular season? Sure. Playoffs? Nope.

We’re really arguing over who had the worse 4th and who deserves credit for the win more? Lol. We criticize the Jays for your turn/my turn for years and selfish play but then as fans discuss it like that’s how they need to play to determine a winner. Not a winner on the scoreboard but for the postgame thread. They both shot poorly in the 4th. JB 1-4 with a huge one to send to Ot and some great individual defense. JT was 2-7 with some easy misses. Both with a really bad turnover. JT did more in the OT offensively but JB had another big defensive play in Ot as well. So they both had their moments and also both had their difficulties. Why can we say things like “VC for x, CP for y nudging out Jrue, White, Al, KP, Sam, keep going down the line” but then can’t say “VC for x, CP for y nudging out JT/JB who also played well”?? Neither played great for 48 minutes last night but I’m glad we had both and needed both to get the W. The agendas are so played out around here. That being said I voted Jrue then JB for timeliness of plays for JB to give him the edge over JT. JT’s stat line overall was great and he deserves credit for bringing it home in OT.

But all the effort that JB put in would've been all for naught if the Cs didn't win the game.

JT brought it home by scoring 6 points in 30 seconds.

100%. I don't know whether the polarity everywhere on here is an extension of US society or not and that's not a conversation I want to have either, but it's crazy.

I can't believe some people think if you praise one then you hate the other or vice-versa, or if you have a different opinion on game impact to others then you must be a hater.

It was an amazing sequence of plays from Jaylen and super clutch. Given all the strides he's taken this year and the willingness to take a step back I'm super happy for him to have this moment in the spotlight.

JT was not efficient but was still very good and the reason we staying in it then won in OT. Every time he was off the floor was a disaster for a reason.

Regardless, if you read my post I changed my mind and had Jrue for efficiency.

I give him props for stepping up in OT, but he played awful in the clutch in regulation. Too many turnovers, lazy D, and missed wide open shots that would have us in the game in the closing minute of regulation. He needs to sink those shots. Voting JT for vc made you look like a JT fan boy, and a Jaylen hater. Glad you changed it to jrue though. Anyways, we will continue to struggle if JT plays like that in the 4th. He shot poorly from outside, and was really unstoppable inside. Just don’t understand why he settles too much.

I have my opinion, you have yours. I don't think JT had a perfect game and I agree with some of your points, but JB was awful in stretches too, so was Derrick and Al, PP, Hauser, Kornet, even Jrue had a few of his usual turnover brain fades. Despite JB's excellent game and game tying shot, I think Jrue and JT are the biggest reasons we won today.

Tatum had 4pts in the 4th quarter. ZERO pts in the last 9mins of the game in a tight contest. Missing clutch shots after another. If JB hadn’t bailed him out, everyone would have crucified him for disappearing again in the 4th. Again, he stepped up in OT, i give him props for that. I just find it hilarious you giving him the VC for the game, even if you changed it to Jrue. I don’t trust JT at all to deliver, unless he proves me otherwise. He doesn’t have anything in his bag, his midrange, jumpshot is horrible. Sick of watching him taking turnaround fadeaways. He’s a ball stopper. The times he scored was coming from passes from jrue or white. I hope that good ot play would give him momentum heading into game 2.

Multiple posts about giving up on JT and how JT is not clutch then like magic, JT scores on an And 1 then JT follows that up with a dagger 3 to seal the win.
