Center play and bench minutes might be a secondary issue.

Here's the real issue -- how we do when Tatum sits. Our offense (and defense) plummets when he is on the bench. +14.5 net rating when he plays, -8.7 net rating when he sits.

R1, G1: +3 ON, +17 OFF (didn't really need him, blowout)
R1, G2: +6 ON, -16 OFF (loss)
R1, G3: +22 ON, -2 OFF
R1, G4: +12 ON, +2 OFF
R1, G5: +35 ON, -1 OFF

R2, G1: +18 ON, +7 OFF (this is good)
R2, G2: -22 ON, -2 OFF (rare instance when we were better with him on bench; loss)
R2, G3: +8 ON, +5 OFF (this is good)
R2, G4: +6 ON, +1 OFF
R2, G5: +18 ON, -3 OFF

R3, G1: +20 ON, -15 OFF (this is hella bad)

We can't play him 48 mins. I don't think that's realistic. The other starters have to step up when he sits. Joe can't repeat playing PP/Sam/Luke together. That **** might fly in the RS but not in the playoffs.

Joe played PP/Sam/Luke for less than a minute and they were even. Felt longer and worse lol.

The lineup that killed us was PP-Jrue-Sam-JB-Al. -9 in just 4 mins.

Hate to say this the day after Jaylen hit the big shot but we are +8.9 with Tatum on and Brown on and +30.2 with Tatum on, Brown off. As influential as Tatum's presence on the court might be, it's dwarfed by the influence Jaylen's absence exerts on the game.

Hmm yeah I don’t like JB or Hauser at the 4 at all. That’s basically a lineup of Al and four shooting guards.

We get you, if the Celtics didn't have Jaylen Brown they would have been 82-0 in the regular season and 9-0 in these playoffs. Thanks for your input.

I think we were a bit rusty with the long rest for game 1, but now we have our rythm back and momentum. This should be a massacre.

Regarding transition defense, it will help if we stop passing the ball to the other team.

My Mom has become a big Celtics fan and watches all the games and gets almost as fired up as I do. But then after the game she texts me about the shoes the players were wearing like that's the main thing to keep an eye on haha. According to her analysis good things come the Celtics' way when JT wears his pink shoes. And Jrue's big game last night was because he wore pink shoes too.

Joe made a change at the half and had Tatum switch to Turner as primary and he only made 2 baskets for a total of 5 points combined in 3rd, 4th quarters and overtime.

What did that allow in return for what it took away, if anything? The score was dead even in each half, but at a lower level in the second than in the first. (53 vs. 64)

Suggestion doesn't seem sound after he stunk in G1, but I would play Hauser more minutes and just go small. He thrives better on heavier minutes and more touches/actions ran for him. I don't think he's the type that can impact the game playing 6-10 mpg and asked to just stand in the corner.

I’m for it. I don’t really get the calls for Brisset. Good at crashing the boards but doesn’t offer much else. Can’t shoot, kind of a tweener, is too skinny.

Assuming he does return (if not understandably if he takes time off to get stuff sorted out), I’d much rather see Tillman.

Curry won his first title at age 26. Tatum is 26. Brown is already 27. It’s go time. Excuses have run out.

Nope, 27 is the minimum, sorry. There will be no NBA champion this year. DNP - Too young.

Stop you sound ridiculous. If they don’t win it this year they never will. The path is clear.

You sound ridiculous. There’s never been a 26 year old tiny waisted momma’s boy that’s won a championship.

Maybe when he’s 28

Michael Jordan won his 1st Championship at 28.
As we all know, he won 5 more, after that.

Nope.

Curry won at the age of 27 years old.

He was born March 14, 1988.

Won the chip in June, 2015.
