This would not be something Gasperini would usually do, but if they find themselves defending a lead and pull Scamacca for a defender late in the match, i assume it’d be quite costly

Atalanta is playing very well.

The way they are defending looks quite exhausting though.
We will see if they can hold the pace for 90 minutes.

A third goal and it will be game over.
Leverkusen goal and we have a game.

Makes getting absolutely cooked at Anfield a little bit easier to live with seeing Leverkusen lose in the exact same way.
It's time for 5 refs.

Xabi suffering the Pep syndrome. Outcoaching himself in the big game.
Didn’t understand why they didn’t play with Boniface right from the start. No other striker was able to hold the ball.
And by the time Boniface came on the game was already almost lost.

Credit to Atalanta and Gasperini. They sell good players seemingly every season yet they continue to play at a high level playing attractive football

Absolutely.
They have been playing fantastic football in recent years.
They may have been a bit lucky with traditional Italian top clubs struggling a bit for several years but you still have to be there when the opportunity arises. Atalanta was, many others weren’t.

Olympiakos - Fiorentina today

Hoping it's not a snooze fest like Fiorentina-West Ham last year.
