Really made me laugh.

Some of the guys here haven't learned that doubting JT is a bad idea.

Multiple posts about giving up on JT and how JT is not clutch then like magic, JT scores on an And 1 then JT follows that up with a dagger 3 to seal the win.

Maybe JT has crow mentality instead of that mamba BS.

This is a rich take.

It's almost as if it ignores the fact that he missed a layup with under 10 seconds left then immediately followed it up with a missed 5 foot jumper.

He was pathetic last night until overtime.

Exactly!

Had 36 and 12.

That 3pt shot with 42 ticks left and the Cs only leading by 1 was as clutch as you can get.

Lol. How about being scoreless in the last 9mins of regulation? Jb bailed him out. What he did in ot, is what he should be doing in the 4th.

I don't think what happened in Game 1 was part of the voting.

This is a totally different subject.

Just stop. Yeah he delivered in ot, but he choked hard in the 4th. If the pacers weren’t stupid, JT would have looked like a mouse.

That's part of the equation of why I have the Cs sweeping the Pacers is they haven't paid their dues yet.

Mistakes like that happens all the time to young teams in the playoffs.

If the game stopped in the 4th qtr. then you're right.

But that's not how it works.

JB making that 3 gave the Cs a 2nd chance.

And that 2nd chance led to 6 points in 30 seconds that included the dagger 3 that sealed Indy's fate.

Read on Twitter

Defensive rating of 107.7 for the playoffs which is the best among surviving teams so it hasn't been an exploitable flaw so far. This isn't to say we ignore the pick and roll defense but it's better imo to look at the defense as a whole instead of nitpicking one detail that can manufacture a doom and gloom narrative for clicks, which twitter analysts often do.

Against two M.A.S.H. unit teams...

JB making that 3, bailed JT out. Can he just play like the supposed superstar that he is? He was getting single coverage being guarded by a smaller nesmith, and yet he chose to take those horrible looking fade aways. Why can’t he just take those straight up jumpshots, like what siakam was doing. I’m pretty sure JT is the better shooter among the two. He just makes it tough on himself.

Yeah, that's why I keep telling you this is not the finished product we're seeing right now.

There's definitely room for improvement and I think that happens maybe next year or for sure when he's 28 or 29 years old.

The thing is some fans want to hold the player accountable if they don't play well.

How about hold the fan/s accountable when they make the wrong call.

The game was not over and some of the fans already conceded or gave up on JT.

That's soft, man!

It’s not like we’re going up against the Timberwolves here…I think Tatum can check Myles Turner as the big out there and like you said Brissett has good wing size and can move his feet much better than Kornet. Kornet and PP broke down the defensive coverages a lot last night, korner due to being way too slow and Pritchard being abused on switches. Hauser was just lost af out there and impacted his game completely.

I hope Mazzulla makes some adjustments because there’s a lot wrong with the lineups that got us killed

Brissett is such a trainwreck offensively. Use Tillman he he can switch and is smart on offense

Offense isn’t our issue last night and pacers defense is pretty awful. We can’t afford the pacers to go on massive runs with Kornet in the game so I feel literally any option is better than that.

I’m good with X playing too he was out game 1 and I was unsure his availability. He can also take advantage of mismatches in the post low key.

Jt was soft in the 4th.

100% agree with you on that.

I was also disappointed with his 4th qtr performance.

But the game didn't end in the 4th.

Tatum misses not one but two game tying shots to end the game and puts the Celtics in a miserable spot down by 3 without possession and anyone in the game thread who thought that was **** is apparently bandwagoners who gave up too soon.

Brown steals the ball, all by him self and proceeded to hit one of Boston's most clutch shots in 40 years and the only thing some people see is how we had the nerve to stimulate a conversation on how bad Tatum was moments before.

Tatum was **** and had a great OT. That's not bandwagon ****. That's a factual observation of what happened.

Siakam doing his darndest best to tighten his sphincter and cover his azz couldn't stop JB from thrusting that long dagger where it hurt the most to send the game into OT.

Massive sigh of relief over escaping an almost-FAFO'd game. Still, the Pacers continue to have nothing to lose in a series where everyone had already written them off... This near-upset might only embolden them more and motivate them to play even more dangerously desperate.

Hoping for an emphatic, soul-crushing response from the Celtics in Game 2 to restore order & confidence. If the Pacers manage to steal next game, then the excuses should prove to be more creative than any game-plan [non-]adjustments on the part of the coaching staff.

1:13 left in OT and the Pacers were leading 123-121.

1:12 left, JT scored on an And 1 and made the FT to make it 124-123 in favor of the Celtics.

42 ticks left the Cs leading by 1 pt, 124-123, JT side step 3 to make it 127-123 in favor of the Celtics.

That's 6 points in 30 seconds.

The outcome of the game wasn't decided when JB tied the game.

It was only in the last 42 seconds of OT that the Cs got some breathing room from the dagger 3 from JT.

But there's nothing we can do about it.

If you have a solution to make JT not miss shots then you should act on it.

Pages 80 to 90 of the game thread is enough talk about JT's misses.

This is the postgame thread where JT redeemed himself.

When discussing whether or not JT played well in the clutch, the last 5 minutes of the game would seem to be relevant.
