I really want to use duren in a trade either with our pick to get Sarr or try get whatever the highest pick we can get. Ivey whilst flawed, I think can become a productive player for us by improving his shooting and just being a spark plug off the bench. He also shows effort unlike our athletic boneheaded Center who just wants people to notice his improvement as a passer despite us not needing it

This guy doesn't excite me at all. Especially to deal our 20yr old plus our lotto pick. I guess if we're looking to tank again for 2025.

Those trades are shockingly bad. If we could get Lauri Markannen for that package then it would be the biggest heist in history.

Not the biggest Randle fan but a move for him would probably pull us out of this cellar.

I wouldn't trade Duren and Ausar for that pick I don't think

That's an understatement. I'm not sure if I'd trade either alone for the #1 pick, Ausar in particular. Trading both for the #1 pick would be lunacy.

Why would the Pistons do that is my question.
I never knew that Sarr was the next Wembanyama. Not that you're saying that but this seems like a vast overpay for a poor #1 prospect.

Although yes, I don't see the motivation for Atlanta since I doubt that they'd trade the pick for more prospects/young players.

The Knicks are aiming to contend for a championship. Why would they trade Randle for anything less than solid replacement value in return? The Pistons aren't aiming to contend for a championship right now. Even if they had the assets to make such a trade -- and they almost certainly don't, or at least not in a way that would make any sense -- why would they trade value for a year of him?

"Anything to improve right now and not be bad!" is how one ends up with the Pistons rosters of the early 2010s. The goal should still be to be a good team down the line, and not to be a non-bad team. I doubt any of you will end up satisfied with a return to the latter.

He averaged 24 PPG and was an all-star for a team whose agenda is to compete for a championship. If you were the Knicks FO, what would you be looking for in return?

If I were the Knicks I’d want to package him with draft assets to pursue a top 30 player

Return to Detroit Pistons
