I think we should try getting Brissett in there for a few mins here and there this series.

Mainly because of the pace of the game.

Reg season the pacers were 2nd in the league in pace. Celtics were 19th. Postseason, the Pacers are 6th in pace. The Celtics are 13th.

And in game 1, the game was FAST. Too fast for Kornet and possibly even too fast for Hauser.

Let's look at how the Celtics players ranked this season in pace:


A lot of the guys near the top are no longer on the team (Banton, Stevens) or they only played during garbage time (Peterson, Davison).

Among the players who are still on the team and actually played non-garbage time minutes, Brissett is 1st on the team in pace. Tillman is last and Kornet is 2nd to last.

I know Brissett is limited on offense. But I think we should try putting him in there for a few mins here and there and just make sure we have enough offense on the floor with him.

But I think his energy and ability to play fast and to grab rebounds (we have had some issues this postseason and in game 1 with our opponent getting too many offensive rebounds and/or out-hustling us for boards and loose balls).

I'm not against playing Queta, but I don't think Joe trusts Queta.

I was originally believing we would win a close game, but now I'm thinking double digit win with the Jaylen All NBA snub. He's going to go for 40+ tonight and play with a serious chip on his shoulder.

Also, Oshae needs to play over Hauser. He played with this team, so he'll know a lot of their tendencies. His defense would be more impactful than the zero offense Hauser keeps netting us.

Hate to say this the day after Jaylen hit the big shot but we are +8.9 with Tatum on and Brown on and +30.2 with Tatum on, Brown off. As influential as Tatum's presence on the court might be, it's dwarfed by the influence Jaylen's absence exerts on the game.

Everybody on planet earth knows that we are a better team without Jaylen. Only Joe, Brad and Wyc & Company don't realize it
