If we can’t acquire and strike out on WCJ, Allen, IHart or Clax then Grizz should offer Luke/Konchar and 25 1st top 20 protected for MitchRob.

So if we swing something like Zaire/Konchar/2nds or maybe top 20 LP 1st, release Kennard, and either draft a center or use some of the MLE for another center like Goga or Plumlee. Just not a lot of shooting between Clarke/Robinson/MLE/draftee backup, but likely something we can work with. Might be a better target than Capela due to the contract size....not a big fan of Capela but could be fall back plan.

As a Grizzlie's fan I know you said Memphis might look at him once FA kicked in but I wanted to know if you would be willing to slide back in this year's draft to acquire Mitchell. I know you wouldn't give up the #9 pick for Mitch even in what is considered to be a weak draft but would you be willing to slide back to maybe turn Kennard's contract into Robinson's? If so how far would you be willing to slide back in the draft? It doesn't have to be all the way back to the Knicks' picks late in the first.

I can’t see us using this year’s pick for a guy like Mitch. I don’t like the idea of moving back unless we know our target will still be available. How often will the Grizz get a chance to add a lottery talent with this roster.

Niang and #20, if the Cavs trade Allen. We then wrap Robinson in bubble wrap and break him out only if we have to play Orlando or a healthy Embiid.

I agree.

Robinson is a fall back guy for me, I wouldn't consider dropping out of the lottery for him. It sucks that we fell a few spots but there are still going to be 2-3 guys there that I like quite a bit still. That is just no need to involve the LP, we can make a fair trade with other assets...as it is I think if we offered a top 20 protected 2025 1st for him we are the highest bidder already. If they Knicks don't want to sell him for that then we just go on to the next guy, JJJ is our closing center so we don't need a world beater...just a 20-24 minute guy there.

Bulls - Caruso/Terry
Knicks - Robinson/2nd rounder

For Bulls we need someone who can set good picks, dominate the boards, block shots and shut down the paint. Think he would be amazing for Ayo/White. Would look to trade Vuc and be just fine with a limited return, so places that can use him are Grizzles and Thunder.

Knicks Thibs would love him as he is all NBA defense and would give the Knicks some valuable guard depth.

Think this makes a lot of sense. Could see knicks kicking in one of their protected picks or one of their first rounders.
Not sure who they target to replace Robinson

Knicks would have to add value. Caruso has a lot of value and Mitch hasn’t shown that he can stay healthy.

Maybe the Knicks could take back the negative contract of Vuc. That would add value.

Caruso/Vuc for MRob/Bojan.

With Hartenstein's success in the starting unit the Knicks may be open to moving Mitch if they can find good value for him after re-signing iHart. Robinson is more than fine as backup big if not. He has 2 more years left on his deal declining from $14.3 million in 2024-2025 to $12.9 million in 2025-2026.

Mitch showed incredible value this postseason with his ability to slow down Embiid. Which teams could use him right now? I could see a team like Memphis that could use his rebounding next to JJJ and could also use a big body to throw at Jokic and and Minnesota with their size.

What type of offers would be available for Mitchell Robinson?

Knicks send Robinson, Boggy, FRP
Pelicans send Ingram.

Pels get their center, and move off Ingram. Knicks get Ingram, move OG to the 2G spot.

I would probably do the Chicago deal that you proposed to add a high level defender to the team but I doubt Chicago would do it.

As far as adding Ingram i'm not sure Thibs would maximize a team with a big 3 of Brunson, Ingram and Randle in his offense. 3 guys that need the ball in their hands to be effective and none of them are great defenders although Ingram looked like he had shown some improvement on that end. If I were the Pelicans I would hope I would be able to get a much better offer than this for Ingram anyway.

Why are the Pelicans selling so low on Ingram. Ingram for Garland/Murray makes far more sense for them. Also doubt OG can play the 2 he is not a good ball handler or passer.
