Let's pretend for a second that Atlanta really does have Clingan that high (or that they don't see a sizeable gap between him and Sarr), opting instead to trade down slightly as a value grab. Is this enough?
Spurs receive: #1 (Sarr), Bogdan
Atlanta receive: #4 (Clingan), Collins, 2027 ATL 1st returned, 2026 swap returned
Atlanta moves down to open up the option of a rebuild after next season if they still can't pull it all together in 2024-25. And still get a target they like a lot. Collins is a placeholder big behind OO for whenever the Hawks decide to trade Capela, which feels a couple years in the making. Didn't want to complicate the trade by including Capela, but assume one eventually happens.
San Antonio secures le frontcourt of the future, with Wemby/Sarr in place (Sarr presumably swings between the 4 and 5, with one of them on the floor at all times), they also grab a vet wing to help with spacing.

No. The Spurs aren't giving up two unprotected picks to move up to 1. If they offer, Atlanta needs to hang up the phone and run. If the Spurs love someone so much that they'd be willing to massively overpay, Atlanta should take that player.
However, that player won't be Sarr. Like if Sarr falls to 4, I am more open to the Spurs making that selection than a lot Spurs fans. But they can't justify giving up so much for a questionable fit.

Nah... just take whomever is there at 4: Risacher (unlikely), Dillingham, Castle, etc. Difference between them and Sarr for the Spurs isn't anywhere near worth what this costs.

Zero chance SA is giving ATL their picks back to move up 3 spots for Sarr. Maybe if there was consensus #1 pick in this draft but Sarr ain't it

The fever for plucking the Spurs away from their future picks is such that I'm starting to believe these are burner accounts for the Hawks' FO testing the waters

Yes OP who's clearly a Hornets fan and been on the board for over a decade might be a Hawks FO burner account testing the waters on the realgm t&t board looking for their future picks back. Posters making these trades getting the Hawks picks back aren't even Hawks fans.

Re: ATL/SAS (no Murray or Trae)
If ATL has Clingan that high - then WAS probably does also (where he would fill a need). So, if they want him, then they take him at #1. If they do not mind missing Sarr/Risacher/Clingan, then trading down for something is great. I doubt they get this much because SAS would have to be desperate to pay that much - which I doubt.
If they waited until the draft - ATL could take Wemby and then if Clingan was there at #4, swap down. But, just the ATL 2027 1st would be a lot for that swap. Maybe look at side moves - SA could take Capela and Bogdan as salary dumps - and/or Hunter if they like him.

Dammit, I was about to ask Hawks management if I could rent the DeLorean they used to travel back from the point they bought the team in 2015 to an earlier date when they could sign up in RealGM for multiple burner accounts. Thank God you were here to clear that up, always helps to have a sharp mind around.

Spurs are never going to do this.
