OG is a free agent, do you know what free means? A player's word means nothing.

OG agent is Leon Rose son (I think we have some inside knowledge).

OG tried to come back and play on a hamstring when he couldn't even walk because he wanted to play for the team

Knick can match any offer from another team because they have his full bird rights.

All that adds up to OG is going nowhere.

According to Katz (5:05 mark), the agent situation is a little different. Leon’s son apparently isn’t his primary agent the way he is with Jalen n Obi… so I’m not sure how all these reports have been saying he is if he isn’t. Weird, but still nothing to worry about

Even if he isn't the "main" agent. He is still part of CAA, and we are very well connected to that agency. I really don't see anyway OG isn't a knick to start the season. They would have never made that deal in the first place for a few month rental. They had to know he had some level of interest in signing a long term deal here...and nothing during the season suggested he soured on signing here...if anything more signs pointed to him enjoying his time.

not sure anyone has seen this. og is talking about being a perfect fit for new york and really appreciates the fans here. he's not going anywhere. and like others have mentioned, the knicks don't make this trade if we didn't have assurance he's gonna resign here.

Yes I absolutely think he’s worth the money.

Having said that, I just wouldn’t play him on B2B. And while certain coaches would understand that, the NBA had 14 of them last season.

I have a hard time believing Tom would be okay with punting OG on 17% of the regular season games. I can’t say for certain that OG would without question play 68 games - but I would imagine it would help his recovery if we’re concerned about injuries.

More guys are getting injured than ever before so I would just protect my investment.

We need to ensure we have as many 16 game players as possible come April.

4 years 135 million 33.75m AAV Jrue Holiday at the age of 33
5 years 160 million 32.00m AAV Jerami Grant at the age of 29

Giving OG 35-40m per year is reasonable if you look at it this way.

As much as I followed OG in Toronto, I don't know what his off season training is like. I believe he does work hard at skills. It does seem like he should get a new routine re flexibility and injury prevention. Maybe come in lighter and leaner. He's plenty strong enough already.
