Classic case that bulking up has no effect on mindset lol.

That's the problem, the bulking up has not been achieved yet.

Wait until it's done so that we can come to a final conclusion.

A few weeks ago you also said Ant Man will never let something like Game 2 against the Mavs happen.

Look at what happened to Ant in the big moment.

He simply choked.

They both choked hard. That’s why JT and Antman are in the same tier. A tier below the best in the league.

JT hasn't choked yet in this year's playoffs.

You also can't put Ant on JT's tier because Ant has done nothing that JT hasn't done.

The point is you jumped the gun on Ant because you thought what Ant did with the Suns was going to be the norm.

The standard is not set by you or me.

We can only base it on facts and it's a fact that JT is 1st team All-NBA and Ant is only 2nd team.

Lol. I’m telling you they are on the same tier. JT choked in game 1, missing clutch shots after another. JB bailed him out. I give him props for showing in OT. Just when you think he turned a corner, he goes out game 2, playing much worse. Yeah, i jumped the gun on antman, already said that a million times. JT and him are similar. You don’t know if they show up on any given game.

The standard you set for Tatum is just too high.

White played great in Game 2, right?

Both JT and White had 23 points in Game 2.

JT didn't show up in the 1st half of Game 2, but he showed up in the 2nd half.

If 23 points in a playoff game is not showing up then you're just being unreasonable.

Mazzulla has drilled the Celtics on every position, in every lineup, so they can step into these random matchups at the sprain of a wrist. After the second unit got torched early in Game 1, he was a big part of why the Celtics’ second unit went on a 17-0 run and seized control of the game.

“That’s something that Joe really likes,” Brissett said. “We play sometimes with two bigs or one or none, so everyone out there has to know every single position, whether you’re off the ball or in the action.

“We don’t know what they’re about to throw out, so we’ve gotta be prepared and ready.”

Evidently Jared Weiss hasn't realized that Joe is an idiot who doesn't do any coaching.

Jared's an idiot, that's clear as day because Joe must be an idiot, everyone says so. Jared must not know about the basketball thing.

Not quite apples-to-apples; Tatum took 5 more shots than White and had 4 fewer TOs.

But Tatum did outproduce Myles Turner, who was a huge problem for the Cs in the first half of Game 1 and was at times Tatum's primary defensive assignment.

True.

I can't say JT played great, but 23 points in a crucial Game 2 cannot be considered not showing up.

After having 4pts mid way thru the 3rd. and Siakam was punking Tatum and everybody. That’s not showing up sorry. For a role player in white? A big yes. For a 1st team all nba? Nope. Not even close

That's what I keep saying, your standards are too high.

Some of us are just happy he contributed and made sure the Cs had a comfortable lead until the end.

The time for JT to do what you want him to do is a year or 2 away.

I keep telling you, he's not reached his prime yet.

Just give it until he's 28 years old and if he's still the same JT that we see now, I will concede.

For comparison, look at the 26-year old JB of the Game 7 in the east finals against Miami last year.

Compare that to the 27-year old JB of this Game 2 against the Pacers.

Tatum has changed his body a lot, mainly for the better. But he seems to have lost some muscle memory on his shooting. I look forward to his shooting coming back.

Yeah, that usually happens when you try to add more muscle.

I don't if it's true but I heard Doris say JT added 25 pounds.

That really has an effect on your shooting stroke.

She seemed to imply it's been going on for a shorter period of time than I think the reporting has indicated. But from beginning to end of the process? Yeah, somebody probably tossed off that figure to her, and over some period of time it's probably correct.

That was lazy commentary by Doris. In training camp Tatum claimed to have put on 12 pounds of muscle last summer. He quickly admitted it was a made-up number. He hasn’t looked bigger or much stronger to me this season. Compared to his rookie year? He must be up 20lbs or so. Compared to last year? Looks the same and mostly plays the same.
