Guy is a f ing winner.

Would be great to have as 5th guy. Can't really afford that.

First, new coach hiring disaster.

Now, Jrue playing brilliantly for the Celtics.

Bucks made all the wrong decisions. What luck.

He had 14/9/3 and the big defensive play at the end. That’s a great contribution from a 4th/5th man which is what he is on that Boston team. Let’s not pretend he’d be crushing it as the second option if say Brown and White/Zinger went down.

If anyone has ever argued that NBA coaching is overrated or not that important, this is your moment.

I don't know if I can remember a conference finals round where all 4 coaches are pretty meh/mediocre. Carlisle is decent but overrated IMO. I might take Doc over the other 3 though.

I said this last night, but 24 hours later and on 2nd thought.

I might take Doc over all 4...lol.

Rick Carlisle in this series has put on an all-time clinic on what not do in crunch time and we're only 3 games into the series.

I'll be a hater, that Jrue stop is showing up on the 2 minute report.

The Celtics finally getting over the hump and winning a championship because of Jon Horst.

Has to be one of the most ironic gut punches in the history of ironic gut punches....lol.

He’s taking like 10 shots a game for the Celtics in the playoffs, and it’s really only that much because KP went down. I would love Jrue as a 4th or 5th option, 3rd not so much, 2nd hell no.

Jrue has a role in Boston that allows him to excel. We needed him to be a second option due to injuries in 22 & 23 and he’s not up to that.

Nah. It ain't that. We aren't and weren't up to the maturity needed to define a role here allowing Jrue to excel. When one poorly-devised superhero strategy inevitabily fails, demanding next man up singlehandedly do all the things, eh, not really winning basketball thinking. Team play was on full display tonight for all the world to see.

Our poa defense was our biggest weakness this year. Doesn’t matter if we label Jrue as # something. Jrue would have changed the entire defense to be much better. And as a whole we would have been much better as a team.

I'm not sure what some of you are even talking about since that was a very Bucks game from Jrue. He didn't have a particularly great game overall but came up huge in the end.

What a heroic performance by Jrue and the Celtics to overcome a lottery team in the East Finals. So stunning. So brave. Such a winner.

Pacers should've just let the Knicks advance.

Next you're going to tell me that Jrue has never won a 3pt shoot-out at all star weekend.

Dame is a volume shooter who gives you zero effort on defense and doesn't bring any winning intangibles.

Dame is also a guy who will never win and will never fit with Giannis because Dame is a guy who is too selfish to make any sacrifices to his game for the better of the team.

One of my favorite Charles Barkley quotes.....The game of basketball is easy. And when you play with great players. It's even easier.

Dame makes it seem like trying to figure out how to play with a player as great as Giannis is some sort of rocket science. That alone should be a massive red flag.

Don't believe Dame when he tries to tell us that a full off-season as a Buck is going to make somehow make him figure out how to play with Giannis. Dame is all talk. Dame is a guy who will sabotage your defense and get your team beat in the 1st round of the playoffs, and then give you 101 excuses after it happens.

Dame's track record speaks for itself.

No team ever has or ever will win anything of significance with Dame.

And the one time Dame made it to a conference finals, was carried there by CJ McCollum

Game 7 stats vs the Nuggets when the Blazers advanced to the WCF in 2019 where they were then swept by the KD-less Warriors:

Dame 3-17 13pts
CJ McCollum 17-29 37pts

Blazers 100
Nuggets 96

If scoring a bunch of points on a bunch of shots in a bunch of losses while not playing any defense was my thing, I would probably like Dame too.

My thing is classy winners who make a habit of helping teams get over the hump and win championships, that's why I like Jrue.

And it doesn't matter what option Jrue is.

If Jrue Holiday is in your starting 5, your defense is going to be significantly better.

None of those “big” games from Dame are going to be remembered when Jrue and the Celtics are hosting a championship trophy and we are convincing ourselves that we made the “right” trade. I don’t give a flying f*ck about 32 points a game. I like to win. Jrue wins.

I got caught up in the whole Jrue got cooked by Butler hype last season.

Even in the moment I knew I was wrong for it, but it was so frustrating to watch.

But by about mid-November I came back to my senses and realized that trading a guy who is the epitome of both class and winning, for an overrated volume shooter who doesn't play defense was a massive blunder.

We probably don't get back to the Finals if we stand pat with Jrue. But I am not fully confident we are getting out of the 1st round any time soon with Dame.
