Pelicans Prefer Dejounte Murray Over Trae Young In Trade

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sun May 26, 2024 5:55 pm

The New Orleans Pelicans had trade talks with the Atlanta Hawks for both Dejounte Murray and Trae Young ahead of the trade deadline. Those talks are expected to resume this summer.

While New Orleans has interest in both Hawks point guards, sources indicate that the Pelicans prefer to swing a deal for Murray. Murray has a more team-friendly contract, and he's a better defender than Young is.

Some have suggested that New Orleans star Zion Williamson would like to play with Young. The star guard's father even went on social media making a similar suggest that Young and Williamson would like to play together.

For real, I think that it's time for nba heads to start making players financialy accountable for their families' soc.media performances (a.k.a. circumstantial tampering) like this one.

This might be the single dumbest comment I’ve ever read on here. 20% of adults were raised by single moms, and I’m sure that number is much higher in the NBA when you control for demographics. People can barely control their kids. There’s no way we can expect a player to control an adult sibling or parent, especially if they didn’t even raise the player.
