I hope they keep the core and give it one more run next year. Let's see what Connelly come up with this summer. Right now it's the offense that is the issue, game planning and prep, maturity of Ant's game. I made Towns shot a thousand hook short a day. He needs a pet move to be relevant in the playoffs.

Yeah, Minnesota is unlikely to get anything worth trading him for, at this point. Just brutal.

I think kat feeds off ant. If ants not producing kat freaks out and thinks he has to do everything

No, unfortunately, the sample size is large enough to conclude that Kat doesn't show up in the playoffs. Has nothing to do with ant.

Kat is neutral value at best, probably negative value contract wise

Embarrassing. This is why you trade for a closer and not a role player. (5 picks at that). Regular season team. With Conley retiring soon and no replacement visible, Kats contract about to explode, and Kyle potentially leaving, this was the best we'll do.

Kats the third best player or fourth best player on a championship team.

We've peaked.

**** Connelly. Denver won a chip because they got the single luckiest pick in history. We built our team to best them and forgot about the other teams in the league.

Can't believe I let my hopes get up.

The whole team will, these are the kind of losses that make you. Most winning teams go through it.

This shouldn't have happened. Not the way it did. We were outplayed all 3 games. Their stars stepped up, ours didn't. I don't quite understand the coaches having Towns stand in a corner. His best 3 pt shooting is right or left of top of the key.

We have used the same offensive scheme all 3 games with poor results. I think the coaches have failed us as much as the players.

Half way through the 4th qtr Kat and Ant didn't get many shots. I don't know. It's one thing to lose its another to get a beat down.

He's been at his best when ants rolling and he can just go crazy for a quarter. When ant doesn't have it, he thinks he has to be the guy and he doesn't have the confidence to be the guy

It's 3-0. We have no answers for Kyrie, Luka and their bigs.

Even the clippers won two games.

Would you rather I wait until the end of next game?

Post game 5 was an overreaction, this is not.

F*ck that, season sucks. We better not have traded away future for making it to WCF and no further. If No title with Rudy, Gobert trade is still a disaster.

Ok, whatever you think is great. At the end of the day, we aren't good enough to win a championship.

Finch is not it! Minnesota needs the balls to fire him if a decent coach becomes available. Last season, I wanted Nurse. Budenhozer would have been better too.

Lol its over. KAT craps the litter box for the 3rd game in a row.
Every other player on the roster did enough to win.

One more game left to watch him in a TImberwolves uniform.

Dallas did to us what we did to Denver defensively, but with much better shotmaking behind it.
It will be interesting to see how they match up with Boston, which has much better shotmaking than we do and doesn't have 2 slowfooted bigs for Kyrie and Luka to exploit.

Dallas got Kyrie for one unprotected first round pick and a couple of expensive role players.
We gave up 5 1st round picks and one swap for Gobert, who has had a negative impact for us in this series.
The Mavs got Gafford for a 2028 pick swap and an expiring contract.
They got PJ Washington for a 2027 1st rounder while sending out a bad contract in Grant WIlliams, and he has kicked supermax KAT's behind up and down the court for 3 games.

This is why you don't sell the farm for role players, you only do it for the rare elite shotmaking that wins playoff games.

Kudos to Kyrie for still bringing it. He has played great defense this series too.

The smarter team and the team with better coaching and the better scheme won this series (calling it now since no team has EVER come back from down 3-0 in the NBA).

Doesn't matter how much energy you bring if you are running straight into the wall headfirst because you have no idea what you are doing, or flopping under the basket like a baby gazelle after your 69th missed layup of the series.

TC has a giant mess on his hands this summer, if he doesn't just opt out go wreck some other team.
All the goodwill for the Denver win has been wiped away with these 3 turds against Dallas.

IMHO we need to concentrate on our core of Ant/Jaden/Naz and build around that.
KAT definitely needs to be gone, and if we can get something good for Rudy that fits with those 3, we should also strongly consider doing that too.
Ant is our superstar, and we can't go forward watching teams just stick 5 guys in the paint to stop him every single playoff game.
We need that 2nd shotmaker and offensive threat to go with him, and KAT most certianly is not that player.
That's going to be pretty hard to find with not being able to trade a first rounder until 2031.

Congrats to Dallas and I hope Dallas/Boston is an entertaining series.

Calm down a bit. Let's get rid of karl, and then evaluate Finch.

To be fair, I don’t think anyone expected the wolves to be here at the beginning of the year. Of course with the trade you want more immediate success. However, this team has been to the playoffs 3 straight years and took a huge leap this year.

Did they peak though?? And that’s what management has to figure out in the off-season.

I know this hurts right now and feels terrible but it's still a great experience for our team. It seems like doom and gloom but its not, that may be the case for this season but we have a lot more information and experience to work with to improve. This can and likely will pay dividends for the future. A guy like Ant will take in a lot from getting worked like this.

Before we have had problems but those were teething issues by comparison, this is losing on a big stage, it hurts more but you grow more from it too.

We needed a 3 point shooter if we wanted to win it all.

Maybe Connelly can get something for kat.

Our offense just isn't up to par right now.
