Build around Naz? He's not someone to build around. If he's one of your top 3, you suck. Naz is a good three point shooter for a big, but he's a liability as a defender, not a great rebounder and has tunnel vision as a passer. I like him in a 6th man role but that's it.

Leonard Miller not Naz should be groomed as the KAT replacement.

Actually, I'd rather get rid of Finch. I've seen enought of him.Loaf_of_bread wrote:KATKlownFeet wrote:Finch is not it! Minnesota needs the balls to fire him if a decent coach becomes available. Last season, I wanted Nurse. Budenhozer would have been better too.
Calm down a bit. Let's get rid of karl, and then evaluate Finch.
He's clearly the problem. KAT maybe next though.. We don't have a KAT replacement and Naz is not it. Leonard Miller might be it but he's at least a year away from filling KAT's shoes

I still believe wolves can come back but it’s gonna have to take Kat getting his head out of his ass and Ant being clutch at the end of games.

F*ck that, season sucks. We better not have traded away future for making it to WCF and no further. If No title with Rudy, Gobert trade is still a disaster.
. Your right, much better when wolves were winning 30 games and waiting on the draft lottery
If you are going to trade assets, I wanted DeJounte Murray not Gobert and we could have kept Kessler.
Kessler
KAT
Jaden
Ant
DeJounte
I also liked Kyrie in a trade and that was when everybody was down on him. Kyrie would have been better and he would have cost us not much.
Gobert trade made little sense to me and while I am forced to accept it, anything short of title confirms it was a disaster. There is only one winner and so if you don't win it all, I'd rather have the ammo to rebuild around Ant and Jaden.

Stop pretending that Kessler is good LOL jesus.
Wolves should have traded kat at deadline when his value was highest it might ever be, oh well.
Time to come back!

Miller is multiple years out, but kat just doesn't have it when the pressure is at the highest level.
We don't need to have a complete starting lineup.. look at dallas.. they aren't.
Trade kat for a guy that doesn't disappear when it matters.

That is going where no team had gone before. Isn't going to happen unless Luka pull a muscle and Lively misses 4 games. Minnesota need another shot creator if Towns can't create shots for himself and others.

Probably but I hope we don’t have a team of quitters. Each game is its own entity, so win the next game, then worry about what comes after

Re: WCF Game 3: Minnesota at Dallas, 7 p.m.
Stop complaining about trades made or not made like hysterical children: we have arrived at the WCF guys!
Doncic and Irving are simply too much stuff and live in a state of grace. We must add to this that Towns is playing terribly, Ant, apart from a few flashes, has shown all his young age and their defensive and rebounding intensity is killing us.
Stop.
Dreams are over. Atmost Dallas in 6. If it goes well Dallas in 5. if it goes badly the day after tomorrow the season is over.

It s funny how people overreact here. We are losing for 20 years, never win anything and finally make a fantastic run and people acting like all is bad. Keep calm guys the season is a success! Let’s finish the series and after that it will be time to think on the solution to improve a team who is already f…. Good! And don’t forget that ANT is only 22. If the FO is smart we have a 5 years window where we will win a title. I’m disappointed with some individuals performances, KAT , Rudy in this series but proud of this team. Future look bright. Go wolves!

How do you know Miller is multiple years out. He literally had no chance to play because butthead Finch won't give his bench players any minutes to find out. We already know KAT wilts in playoffs when it matters, so no loss in giving Miller some run and develop him plus give Monte run at point. I am not putting all the blame on KAT, I think he can be the third best player on a title team but if he can get you DeJounte Murray or Mikhail Bridges or another impact two way player you do it, but you don't trade him for crap like Julius Randle or even Trae Young who are defensive sieves and inefficient.

It's impossible to win games when your 2 best players shoot FG 33%/3pFG 22% after 3 games. As simple as that. ANT got an excuse, he is not 100%.

Calinks wrote:I know this hurts right now and feels terrible but it's still a great experience for our team. It seems like doom and gloom but its not, that may be the case for this season but we have a lot more information and experience to work with to improve. This can and likely will pay dividends for the future. A guy like Ant will take in a lot from getting worked like this.
Before we have had problems but those were teething issues by comparison, this is losing on a big stage, it hurts more but you grow more from it too.
This is a great point. Not only how to respond on the court, but I think the front office is getting a good feel for the makeup of this group.

This team can do it, remember when people were counting them out when they had to face Phoenix in the first round after being blown out by them to end regular season? Or when they lost three straight to Denver. They can win four straight and Dallas can totally choke.

It would be epic if they win four straight. That would be HISTORICAL

Re: WCF Game 3: Minnesota at Dallas, 7 p.m.
No point pointing figures everywhere. Yeah Kat is most dissapointing, but this is a collective effort up to this point in season, and a collective failure as team and group this series. Our offense has let us down, but despite dreaming for 2 awesome series this playoffs, the ceiling on our offense and how heavily reliant it is on a 22 year old Ant was evident.
Being outgunned/outscored by the two best closers in league which they have is not surprising (and one of them is such an insane matchup nightmare he can score and playmake at any scenario) .The game changer this series is the level of defense and hustle they shown that outdone our group. Props to their coaching and front office for this team build.
Tho honestly I think finally Finch and our coaches were catching up to that and showed Mavs alot of various defensive schemes and looks that was better then the first 2 games. They had less of the easy lob dunks etc. But still, look at that final 4 minutes, even game, then our offense predictably falls flat and theirs on automatic and just out guns us.
That's ball game and imo series.
Learn from it, and run back with same crew again, maybe try to add a cheap shot creator/shot maker for scenarios like these. Not easy, or something new coaching wise with hiring offensive coordinator. But whatever it is, I hope this is learning experience to grow from. Young players Ant, McDaniels, Naz etc can learn from it the most (Naw just needs to train 3s all summer lol).
Pretending this entire season sucked is silly, even if virtually getting swept ofcourse sucks. But does not define the entire season. Or what we can try to do again coming season (I can't say seasons cuz Conley age, and NaW Naz contracts after 2025).

Big thing Ant should work on during the offseason is throwing the lob. Luka is so much more dangerous because he's so good at it. Ant was way better then the year before when he literally never passed to gobert
