He at least played 10 minutes yesterday and Mavs were up, when he went down, just imagine Powell playing those 10 minutes. :noway: Mavs have to close series in Dallas. Just imagine going in Minnesota without him and then potentially playing game 6 without him.

I'm not a fan of the idea but at this point I have faith in this team getting the job done even under such circumstances. We effectively played without Dlive all game yesterday and as much as I missed him the entire game they somehow pulled it out.
Maxi should be close ish too hopefully. Would be massive having them both back and obviously a big problem if not.

I guess we can be reasonably optimistic.

Yeah they're probably altering heat and cold and then doing whatever the most cutting edge stuff is that NBA level physios and docs have at their disposal. Pain wise they'll make sure he'll be good to go. My main concerns would be his ability to turn his head, like if that strain/sprain becomes a multi day old bruise it might limit his ability to turn his head fast etc for some days.

I’ve been a competitive rock climber for the last 10 years and I have had a few less than a dozen sprained ankles, I have no idea how they’re talking about maybe game 4 when a sprained ankle is 2 weeks.

I've played ball for many years and sprained ankles are a pain in the butt but you don't typically put your bodyweight on your neck while playing basketball, so this should be more about pain control and mobility of the head.

And I have played basketball and I'm telling you that every sprained ankle is not 2 weeks, you can play after few days, if it's minor sprain. I guess only Lively will be able to tell how serious it's, hopefully he will be fine soon. I hope we can win game 4 without him and he's ready for the Finals.

What I gather from this is that the X-rays were OK, and they are waiting for the soft tissue results today.

Hoping he's OK. He's a vital piece for this team and he's had a rough month (and life in general) personally. Really want to see good things happen for him

100% once he can free move his head without pain he should be good to go. But depending on severity that could be 5 days from now.

Well luckily he runs on his 2 healthy ankles and not on 1 foot and his neck...

Dallas will rest him next game no matter what. Would be so stuipd to rush someone back without any need at all. they are 3-0

Agreed. With how well Luka and kyrie are playing, you have to at least give it a shot without him. If you win, he gets 11 days of rest. If you loose, you’re still up 3-1.

I don't know if we can win another PO games without Lively. Mostly against Wolves.
I hope he will come back soon, maybe already in G5.

I love to see Edwards and Conley act like cry baby about the refs in post game interview buy without them Denver would have won last series. Don't forget.

Finish the job ASAP.

P.S.
Please Rick, can you coach well at least 1 game and not choke at the end???? Please.

We just did exactly that. He played 8min early in the first half and we were down in Q4, effectively resetting the game and managed to win.

Hardy goes from not playing, to doing this.

Absolutely surreal to see this... THJr goes from unlimited chances, to being benched and Kidd playing the young guys.

Luka just telling him to go abuse Gobert.

Both Hardy and Kidd have really been positive surprises these playoffs.
Kidd has handily outcouched all 3 coaches we've been up against so far.
And Hardy is playing with much more poise than he did for most of the season, which is wild given how inconsistent he was during RS play. But I love to see both things!

Luka did this on a few possessions, just ruthless. Telling the young guy to go pick apart the DPOY

Congrats guys. It was cool seeing Gafford come up big in the 4th after Lively got hurt. Biggest moment of his career by far.

Put Powell in those 9 minutes and see how many points we should had recovered... I'm happy to see you so confident, i'm very scared to play a game without 1 of Lively/Gaff out (mostly with Maxi out too).

That was a huge W, 50% from 3 and Luka&Kyrie scored a lot of very tough shots in the 4th... Without Lively we need another super performance by our guys. Hard. Very hard.

Nothing is easy at this level/stage but they just did it. I'd much rather have Lively out there but if we don't, it's next man up. DP actually played pretty decent in those limited minutes. I guess it'll have to be Gafford for 32min or so and then about 16min of holding our collective breaths with DP patrolling the boards.
